In diesem Soundtrack der Wikipedianer möchte ich versuchen, eine Sammlung der Songs zu erstellen, die die Leute hören, mit denen ich hier einen Großteil meiner Zeit des Tages verbringe. Ich finde, man lernt eine Menge über Menschen und kann auch ihre Stimmungen und Ideen besser verstehen, wenn man "ihre" Musik kennenlernt. Es wäre schön, wenn sich hier möglichst viele Wikipedianer finden und mir ihre Songs spenden, seien es ihre Alltime-Favourites oder ihre aktuellen Lieblingslieder, seien es Songs, die ihre aktuelle Stimmung ausdrücken oder Melodien, die sie zum Träumen bringen. Und wer sich, wie ich selber, nicht starr auf einige wenige Titel festlegen mag, sollte seine Tracklist entsprechend auch regelmäßig ändern.

Kurze Erläuterung zu dem Ganzen: ein wenig Jazz (möglichst nur mit Klavier und Schlagwerk), dann ein wenig sehr seltenen Techno (manches davon ist nur 500x auf Platten gepresst), dann DDR-Punk, Tarika (eine exzellente Band aus Madagaskar, die ich nur über die madagassische Wikipedia kennengelernt habe!) und dann noch zwei Stücke, die mich sehr berühren Here comes the sun und Rachmaninows prélude cis-moll. Mit diesen zwei Stücken hat es seine Bewandnis, aber nun ja. Soviel nun auch nicht, hier zumindest.

Meine ersten Berührungen mit Musik hatte ich als kleiner Ossi-Spund insbesondere mit dem DDR-Radio, was mir zu meine Kinderzeit hauptsächlich ziemlich nervige Ohrwürmer aus dem Schlagerbereich und der Neuen Deutschen Welle einbrachte. Meine Erinnerungen reichen bis zu einem wahnsinnig melodramatischen Titel namens "Karl der Käfer" von der Formation Gänsehaut, der wohl heute das Prädikat "Erster deutscher Öko-Hit" verdient hätte, und Nenas "99 Luftballons" zurück, dass ich bevorzugt lauthals im Kaufhaus intonierte.... Im etwas reiferen Alter um die Wendezeit nahm ich mir dann den Plattenschrank meiner Eltern vor und kramte mich durch ihre Jazz- und Klassiksammlung. Die Begeisterung galt wohl damals aber eher dem Plattenauflegen, als dass ich die Musik verstanden und genossen hätte. Nach der Wende und einigen Hörversuchen im Popbereich, die schnell zu Ernüchterung führten, brach während meiner Pubertät meine Gitarrenzeit an, die von Britrock bis einigen Metalscheiben reichte. Nach dem die langen Haare ab waren, wandte ich mich hauptsächlich der Elektronischen Musik in all ihren Facetten zu und entdeckte darüber Jazz, den "guten alten" Soul und auch Hip-Hop. Momentan höre ich bevorzugt jazz- und soulbeeinflusste Fusionen elektronischer Musik. Leider beherrsche ich bis heute kein Instrument, was ich zutiefst bedauere.

Derzeit ganz oben auf meiner Playlist: Morcheeba (Fragments of Freedom) bzw. Skye Edwards (Mind How You Go), Willi Resetarits (Stubnblues), Badi Assad (verde), Georg Danzer (v.a. die Platten aus den späten 70ern und frühen 80ern), India.Arie, Bim Sherman und tok tok tok; zwischendurch auch mal Konstantin Wecker, The Dresden Dolls ([1]) und Neneh Cherry ([2]). Live haben mich zuletzt Hubert von Goisern + Band ziemlich beeindruckt.
Ansonsten: viel Jazz, von Abercrombie über Baker (Deep in a Dream), Coltrane (A Love Supreme), Lê, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Miles (je nach mentaler/emotionaler Verfassung mal Cool, mal Fusion-Wirrniss, mal Aura), Sanders und Wilson (Travelling Miles, Belly of the Sun) bis Zawinul. Nicht zu vergessen: Vieles was so als „Latin Jazz“ benannt wird, vom Bossa Nova von Bonfá, Gilberto und Jobim bis zu den Percussion- und Klangexpeditionen von Airto. Und viele andere, die Liste würde hier den Rahmen sprengen.
Sehr gerne höre ich auch „Afrikanisches“ von z.B. Manu Dibango, Angélique Kidjo oder Simphiwe Dana, allein schon wegen der mitunter unpackbar mitreissenden (Poly-)Rhythmik. Immer wieder gerne: „Rockiges“ von Living Colour und Led Zeppelin, „Souliges“ von Marvin Gaye und Curtis Mayfield, die Gitarren von Santana und Stevie Ray Vaughan, Schräges, Funkiges und Eigenwilliges von Bootsy, Clinton und Bill Laswell ... und noch viele andere.
Womit man mich verjagen kann: Boy-, Girl- u./od. gecastete Retorten-Bands, volkstümliche Musik und Dance, Techno und Metal in all ihren Spielarten.
