Das NHL All-Star Team wird seit der Saison 1930/31 gewählt.

Die Professional Hockey Writers' Association stellt nach jeder Saison ein Team, das NHL First All-Star Team, mit den besten Spielern der NHL-Saison zusammen. Dazu gehören ein Torhüter, zwei Verteidiger, ein Center, sowie ein rechter und ein linker Flügelspieler. Zudem wird noch ein NHL Second All-Star Team gewählt. Bis 1946 wurde der beste Trainer der Liga zum All-Star Team hinzugewählt. Diese Auszeichnung sollte nicht verwechselt werden mit dem NHL All-Star Game, das während der Saison gespielt wird und deren Teams durch die Fans gewählt werden.
