[edit] Trivia
- 1989 is a year in which there were 2 'Parade of Nations'. In the first Parade of Nations in national costumes, contestants introduced themselves in the continental order of their countries for the first time, as opposed to the alphabetical order previously. However, they only shout out their countries without mentioning their names. In the second Parade of Nations, which is a swimsuit video, viewers then got to know each delegate's name as well as her plans for the future.
