Kristian Wåhlin (s. 1971) on ruotsalainen, Göteborgista, kotoisin oleva muusikko, graafinen suunnittelija ja albumikansitaiteilija, joka on tehnyt töitä useille artisteille extreme metal -piireissä maailmanlaajuisesti. Hänet tunnetaan myös taiteilijanimellä Necrolord. Wåhlinin ateljee sijaitsee Höganäsissa, Ruotsissa.

Wåhlin kiinnostui taiteesta ollessaan Schillerska skolanissa, joka on koulu Göteborgin keskustassa. Hän mainitsi varhaisiksi vaikuttajikseen romantiikan ja renessanssin maalarit kuten Caspar David Friedrich, Albrecht Dürer ja Hieronymus Bosch.^[1] Tänä aikana hän alkoi myös opiskella musiikkia.

17-vuotiaana Wåhlin alkoi soittaa kitaraa ja perusti yhtyeen Grotesque kouluystävä Tomas Lindbergin (laulu), Alf Svenssonin (kitara) ja Tomas Erikssonin (rummut) kanssa.^[2] Grotesque hajosi 1990, ja jäsenet perustivat At the Gatesin, joka on yksi melodisen death metalin Göteborg-tyylin kehittäjistä. Wåhlin teki yhteistyötä Lindbergin ja muiden At the Gates -jäsenten kanssa lyhyen aikaa death metal -yhtye Liers in Waitissa, ja Wåhlin suunnitteli At the Gatesin merkkiteoksen Slaughter of the Soulin "venäläinen ikoni"-kansitaiteen.

At the Gatesin kanssa harjoittelurakennuksen jakanut Dissection tilasi Wåhlinin kuvituksia albumeita The Somberlain ja Storm of the Light's Bane varten; jälkimmäinen esitteli pahamaineisen "viikatemiesratsastajan" keskellä lumista tundraa. Norjalaisen black metal -yhtye Emperorin alkuunpaneva esikoisalbumi In the Nightside Eclipsesai myös Wåhlinin kansitaiteen. Wåhlin jatkoi urallaan kansitaiteiden tekoa eurooppalaisille death, black, doom, power ja goottimetalliyhtyeille 2000-luvulla.

Wåhlin vaikutti yhtyeissä Liers in Wait ja Decollation, kunnes ne hajosivat 1990-luvun puolivälissä. Vuonna 1995 hän perusti goottimetalliyhtye Diaboliquen, jossa vaikutti jäseniä hänen aiemmista yhtyeistään. Diabolique viimeisin albumi oli vuoden 2001 The Green Goddess, eikä yhtye ole julkaissut mitään sen jälkeen. Wåhlin teki yhteistyötä pitkäaikaisen ystävänsä Lindbergin kanssa rockyhtyeessä The Great Deceiver, kunnes yhtye hajosi 2005 mutta palasi yhteen 2007. Lisäksi Wåhlin teki yhteistyötä Converge-laulaja Jacob Bannonin kanssa yhtyeen albumin Life is Wasted on the Living kansitaiteen kanssa.
