Vysokovsk (Russian: Высоко́вск) is a town in Moscow Oblast, Russia, located some 99 km northwest of Moscow. Population: 10,800 (2005 est.); 10,950 (2002 Census); 11,611 (1989 Census).
Vysokovsk was founded in 1879 due to the construction of a textile factory by the Vysokovskaya Manufactory Company (Товарищество Высоковской мануфактуры). Two minor settlements servicing the factory—Vysokoye (Высо́кое) and Novy Bazar (Но́вый База́р)—grew into a small town, which would be renamed Vysokovsky (Высоко́вский) in 1928. It was granted town status in 1940 and named Vysokovsk.
