California's 25th congressional district covers part of Los Angeles County and extends out to broad stretches of interior California along the Nevada border. It includes the towns Santa Clarita, Lancaster and the northern part of the San Fernando Valley. It also covers northwest San Bernardino, a sliver of Tuolumne, and all of Mono and Inyo counties. It is represented by Republican Howard McKeon.

George W. Bush received 59% of the vote in this district in 2004; John Kerry received 40%.[1] The district voted for Arnold Schwarzenegger 66-29% in 2006,[2] Dick Mountjoy 50-45% in 2006,[3] Bill Jones 49-46% in 2004,[4] recalling Gray Davis 74.5-25.5%[5] and Schwarzenegger 66-16%[6] in 2003, and Bill Simon 58-34% in 2002.[7]
