Key 103 is an Independent Local Radio station broadcasting to the city of Manchester and the north west of England. Its output is principally contemporary pop and dance music. It is owned by Bauer Radio and is part of their Big City Network of stations. The station is based in Castlefield. Originally named Piccadilly Radio, from its set up in 1974, the station was renamed in August 1988 when it was decided to re-brand Piccadilly Radio's FM frequency to the new name, with a younger target audience in mind. The original Piccadilly Radio continued to broadcast on the AM frequency of 1152kHz.

Scott Mills also used to work on Key 103, and now presents the afternoon drive-time slot on BBC Radio 1.and Stu Allan used to have the Bicardi beat dance chart 8pm till 9pm and from 9 pm to 12pm he would play dance muisc and in the later years he would play mixes on saturdays and 9 till 11 pm on sundays
