The Macavity Awards

The Macavity Awards er kriminallitterære priser som utdeles årlig siden 1987 av Mystery Readers International, en USA-basert organisasjon for lesere, fans, kritikere, redaktører, utgivere og forfattere av kriminallitteratur med medlemmer i 19 land (2007). Foreningens medlemmer nominerer og stemmer fram vinnerne.
Prisen har fått navn etter the Mystery Cat i T.S. Eliots Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats.
Prisklassene har variert noe, men var i 2007:
- Best Mystery Novel, for årets beste krimroman
- Best First Mystery Novel, for årets beste debutarbeide
- Best Nonfiction, for årets beste sakprosabok om kriminallitteratur eller relaterte emner
- Best Short Story, for beste krimnovelle
- The Sue Feder Historical Mystery Award, for beste historiske krimroman
