Hazel Court (Birmingham, 10 febbraio 1926 – Lago Tahoe, 15 aprile 2008) è stata un'attrice inglese, famosa per le sue interpretazioni nei film horror degli anni '50 e '60.

Figlia di un famoso giocatore di cricket, Hazel Court, all'età di quattordici anni, iniziò a studiare recitazione al Birmingham Repertory Theatre e all' Alexander Theatre, anch'esso a Birmingham. All'età di sedici anni incontra a Londra il regista Sir Anthony Asquith, che le fa avere una piccola parte nel film Champagne Charlie del 1944.

La Court vinse il premio della critica inglese per il ruolo di una ragazza disabile interpretato nel film Carnival del 1946. Ha anche partecipato in Holiday Camp (1947) e Bond Street (1948). Il suo primo ruolo in un film fantasy fu in Ghost Ship del 1952. È da rilevare anche la sua partecipazione in film camp come Devil Girl from Mars e Doctor Blood's Coffin.

Spinta dalla voglia di recitare in Commedie, lavora dal 1957 al 1958 nella serie TV Dick and the Duchess anche se continua a partecipare in film horror. Nel 1957 ebbe la parte ne La maschera di Frankestein, da cui guadagnò lo status di "sirena cult", dovuto in parte a

Verso l'inizio degli anni Sessanta, la Court si trasferì definitivamente negli Stati Uniti. Prese parte nei film horror di Edgar Allan Poe The Premature Burial (1962), The Raven (1963) and The Masque of the Red Death (1964), gli ultimi due con Vincent Price.

Dal 1949 fino al 1963, è stata sposata con l'attore irlandese Dermot Walsh, dal quale ha avuto una figlia, Sally Walsh, che prese parte con lei nel film La Maschera di Frankenstein.

Durante le riprese di un episodio della serie TV di Alfred Hitchcock incontra l'attore americano Don Taylor. I due si sposano nel 1964, hanno un figlio e rimarranno insieme fino alla morte di Taylor avvenuta nel 1998. In seguito al matrimonio, la Court si ritira dall'industria cinematografica per dedicarsi esclusivamente ad essere moglie e madre.

Nel 1981, comunque, prende parte con un piccolo ruolo nel terzo film Omen, The Final Conflict, anche se non venne mai citata. Sono da notare inoltre altre partecipazioni a diverse serie TV, tra cui Mission: Impossible, Dr. Kildare, Twelve O'Clock High, e The Twilight Zone.

Oltre a recitare, Hazel Court è anche pittrice e scultrice (ha studiato scultura in Italia). Infine, la Court è autrice della sua autobiografia intitolata Hazel Court Horror Queen (Hazel Court la regina del Horror), che uscirà nel 2007.
