Ass Wikipedia.

hi!, welcome to this wiki. As you can see, we're a very very little wiki.... you're welcome!! Now I can't work here (i have to study a lot), but in holidays I will help here again!! Greatests from yn Çheer Bascagh!! --Norrin_Strange (Talk) 17:07, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

  • Hi! No there aren't sysops in this wiki. There are a lot of registered users, but all of them inactive. Your manx language is good, and probably better than my level, so don't worry about it! My holidays start in March 18, I will try to help working here. Sorry for my english, I was born in Galicia and I only speak perfectly Spanish and Galician. --Norrin_Strange (Talk) 22:02, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

[reaghey] interface - translations

Hello MacTire02, I have seen on Your userpage that You can speak ga, gv, and others, I would like to invite You kindly to betawiki: where the translations of the interface for all wikimedia-foundation-projects are done.
If You are interested helping us translating the interface (also for gv :)) please register an account at betawiki: and leave a message at betawiki:Betawiki:Translators and You will be granted translator-status immediately.

Thank You, best regards, --eean (:> )=| 17:24, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

[reaghey] Invitation

As an Administrator, you are allowed into #wikimedia-admin, the cross-wiki coordination channel for Wikimedia administrators. Any member of the channel can invite you in temporarily, but you need an invite exemption from a channel operator to get in whenever you want. Please come to #wikimedia and ask for an invite.

Any admin from any project is welcome and it is a good place for cross-wiki coordination of vandal and spam fighting. It is also useful for new admins to contact more experienced admins in real-time to get help with the more complicated admin tasks such as history merges/splits and importing via Special:Import.

Best regards, --eean (:> )=| 18:36, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

[reaghey] Broken namespaces

Hi, MacTire02. I saw today that some links don't work properly anymore. For instance, try the 'Athruithe is déanaí' on the sidebar. I believe the URL has been translated but the namespaces haven't. To translate the namespaces at Betawiki, go to Special pages, choose "Extra translation" (or something similar to that) and choose "Namespaces" on the combo-box. Regards and keep up your excellent work! Malafaya 13:29, 16 Averil 2008 (UTC)

Malafaya - you are a life saver. I noticed it last night and spent a long time trying to figure it out. I'll do that ASAP. Thanks a million --MacTire02 13:31, 16 Averil 2008 (UTC)
Anytime ;). Malafaya 13:32, 16 Averil 2008 (UTC)
Actually there's something weird here. I can't seem to find "Spesialta" (Special namespace) anywhere in the localization. Do you know where it could have come from? Malafaya 13:41, 16 Averil 2008 (UTC)
I know that Irish (Ga) was used as a back up language for a couple of days before it was restored to English. Perhaps something got lost in the process. Apparently there was a bug or something. Is that any help? Sorry, I'm not the most computer-literate of people. --MacTire02 13:53, 16 Averil 2008 (UTC)
It probably has something to do with it. That and a chronic bug in Mediawiki that causes the sidebar to fallback to an older version once in a while. I just purged it and it should be solved now. Next time it happens, just click here. Cheers, Malafaya 14:09, 16 Averil 2008 (UTC)
Excellent! Thanks a million. --MacTire02 14:11, 16 Averil 2008 (UTC)
Now something unrelated: I noticed you use Talk:Ard-ghuillag for "community talk". Isn't that the purpose of the page Wikipedia:Ynnyd y phobble? ;). Malafaya 14:36, 16 Averil 2008 (UTC)
Yup! Something that will have to be looked at once things settle down here after the language change. Thanks a million again for the help with this by the way. Very much appreciated. :) --MacTire02 14:48, 16 Averil 2008 (UTC)
Also, how do the changes I make in Betawiki transfer here, and how long does it take for them to take affect or is there something I could do to speed the process up? --MacTire02 14:49, 16 Averil 2008 (UTC)
The new changes get live when developers decide it's time to upgrade the wikis to a newer version. Usually it takes something between a couple of days to a couple of weeks. A typical timespan is one week. Be patient :). Malafaya 14:52, 16 Averil 2008 (UTC)

[reaghey] Translation

Mac, if you have enough skills and disposition, could I ask you to translate the missing templates on this page from the original ones in English? Thanks a mil, Malafaya 15:18, 16 Averil 2008 (UTC)

No probs. I doubt I'll get to it today but I'll do it before the week is out. --MacTire02 15:30, 16 Averil 2008 (UTC)
It's already a big deal if you do it. There's no rush at all. My deepest thanks. Malafaya 15:33, 16 Averil 2008 (UTC)
OK it turns out I got some time this evening to go over that a few minutes ago. I've translated it for you now if you want to have a look at it :) --MacTire02 18:58, 16 Averil 2008 (UTC)
It looks great! :) Thanks. Why are there two periodd at the end of sentences? Malafaya 19:03, 16 Averil 2008 (UTC) P.S. I just noticed some more translated messages here. I guess they updated the sites a while ago.
Oops. My mistake. Sorry about that. I'll fix it as soon as. MacTire02 19:07, 16 Averil 2008 (UTC)
You never know. It could be some weird thing about the language ;). Thanks again. Malafaya 19:09, 16 Averil 2008 (UTC)

[reaghey] A little help: Ecser

Hi! I'm a Hungarian Wikipedia editor, my name is Norbert Kiss. I'm very proud of my village and I want to read about it in every langauge of the Wikipedia. OI translated it already into 10 languages (now there are 35 translations there, including Cymraeg, too.) Could you help me? The Manx and Cornish tarnslation interest me very, there are only a few editor here with these knowledge. The English page is here: [Ecser], and my Hungarian page is: [Eino81]. Thank you for your help! - Norbert from Hungary
