[edit] Urgent announcements
- They never stop, here we go again: Commons:Template talk:PD-Russia. Our dearest friend Lupo who has first rid us of all the images 1954-1973 now wants to further brush up wikipedia and clean up images published in 1941-1954. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!. --Kuban Cossack 19:22, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Hidden Gems
- The Portal:Russia/Hidden Gems is to list recently unearthed articles that cover Russia-related topics which have been (a) neglected for quite some time and (b) require serious intervention of Russian editors. It is an extension of this page, according to the Russian proverb: "New" is something forgotten for good. As a rule of thumb, don't add articles edited by active members of project Russia.
- The Portal:Russia/Russian Expansion subpage is to list recently edited articles on general topics that previously did not cover Russia-related specifics. Unless a whole section has been added, please provide diffs, for easy spotting.

[edit] April
- Yuri Merzlyakov by Grandmaster (talk) 16:42, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
- Principality of Peremyshl and Prince of Peremyshl; the former needs expansion from sources i don't have access to and the latter list needs to be verified by better sources (sometimes the scholarly texts appear to contradict it). Deacon of Pndapetzim (Talk) 00:46, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
- Same as below: Southwestern Krai page, also started by Piotrus. Unstubbed and rewritten by me. More in several hours but feel free to expand. --Irpen 20:01, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- Russian Empire's units long missing. Kharkov Governorate started by myself followed by Volhynian and Kiev Governorates (started by Piotrus). I took upon the latter for now due to sentimental reasons. --Irpen 07:29, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- Serbian-Russian relations --Avala (talk) 21:32, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
- {{Cite Russian law}}; hopefully a convenient tool to simplify citations of the Russian normative acts.—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 16:34, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- Ruslan Anatolyevich Odizhev expanded (it used to be an article about a Guantanamo prisoner) and corrected. (Since the fact that the original patronymic (Anatolivich) was obviously wrong, was used by me to re-name from "Ruslan Anatolivich Odijev" (I kid you not!), perhaps someone else who also feels the patronymic should not be there, may take the responsibility to re-name.) --Paul Pieniezny (talk) 12:44, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- I moved it to Ruslan Odizhev—we don't normally use patronymics in article titles unless there is an ambiguity. In any case, thanks for taking care of this article!—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 17:25, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. Sorry I did not even notice that the target already existed, so I could not have done it if I had dared to. Which meant you had to do more work than you expected. Thanks again! --Paul Pieniezny (talk) 21:04, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- No problem; it wasn't that much trouble anyway.—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 16:34, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
