The OMRON Corporation (オムロン株式会社, Omuron Kabushiki-gaisha?) (TYO: 6645) is a Japanese electronics company in Kyoto.
OMRON was established by Kazuma Tateishi (立石一真) in 1933, and it became a company organization in 1948. In general, OMRON is known by their medical equipment such as electronic medical thermometers, nebulizers, and sphygmomanometers. Moreover, OMRON developed the first electronic ticket examination machine in Japan[1] and was one of the first manufacturers of cash-dispensing ATMs[2] with magnetic stripe card readers.
