Nepenthes mantalingajanensis (pronounced /nəˈpɛnθiːz ˈmæntəlɪŋɡəˌhɑːnɛnsɪs/, from Palawano: mantalingahan = Mount Mantalingahan, and Latin: -ensis = from) is a tropical pitcher plant endemic to southern Palawan in the Philippines.
The species was first collected on Mount Mantalingahan in 1992, during a botanical expedition to the summit of the mountain by botanists Argent and Romero.[1]
The species entered cultivation in 1998, and only received a formal description in 2007. Prior to this, plants in cultivation were generally referred to as "Nepenthes spec. Palawan 1".[2]
