[edit] Funding
Like other noncommercial stations in the United States, KERA broadcasts on-air pledge drives to raise money to pay for programming. The majority of KERA's funding comes from membership pledge drives. Additional funding is accrued through corporate sponsorship and underwriting announcements. Only 10-percent of the station's funding is government supported.
