Donna Martin

Donna Martin-Silver (born December 25, 1974) is a fictional character from the television series, Beverly Hills, 90210. She is also returning in the new 90210 series. She is portrayed by Tori Spelling.

Donna was introduced in the first season as Kelly Taylor's best friend, and soon became one of Brenda Walsh's. In high school, she discovered she is dyslexic. She went with Brenda to Paris and was close to becoming a professional model.

Donna first became romantically involved with David Silver after they decided to take their budding friendship further at a dance. After they had been dating for a couple of months, David tried to get Donna to have sex with him, at which point Donna admitted to being a virgin and told him that she wanted to wait until she was married. David agreed to respect Donna's wishes, and they continued dating. David was there to comfort Donna when she found out that her mother was having an affair.

David cheated on Donna during the summer, but he apologized and he told her that he loved her. Later on in the year, David tried to get Donna to have sex with him again, but she told him she wanted to wait. Donna then agreed to have sex with David during the prom. However, Donna drank some champagne and got drunk. Donna was then told that she could not graduate, but because of a student protest and march, was eventually allowed to do so.

The next year, Donna and David continued to date and David continued to push the sex issue. David and Donna hosted a radio show as well. At one point Donna finally agreed to have sex with David, but as they got ready and were about to do it, they were interrupted. Donna then told David yet again that she wanted to wait. David got upset and broke up with Donna.

David then started doing drugs, including crystal meth. When Donna found out that David was on drugs, she tried to help him. Because of this, Donna and David got back together. Unfortunately, a few months later, Donna found David in the back of a limo, having sex with someone else. Donna then broke up with David.

The following year, Donna became romantically involved with Ray Pruit. Ray played the guitar and was a construction worker. Ray also agreed to respect Donna's virginity, and wrote a song for her. Ray told Donna that he wasn't going to pressure her into doing anything she was uncomfortable doing. Donna and Ray celebrated the holidays together and their relationship got more intimate. Ray took Donna to a rock concert and showed her his world. Donna got Ray to play at the After Dark, a night club.

A few months later, a man named Garret Slan tried to rape Donna. He had a knife poised at Donna's throat when David came to the rescue.

Donna dated Ray for a year, and he eventually became abusive. He knocked her down a flight of stairs in Palm Springs but she lied about what happened and stayed with him. It was only when she learned that Ray had cheated on her with Valerie Malone that she broke up with him. She then got involved with Joe Bradley. Ray then started to harass the newly formed couple.

She got eventually got back together with David after several months. When Garret Slan reappeared in Donna's life, David protected Donna from Garret. Donna was later taken hostage at the CU TV station by an obsessed stalker.

Donna comforted David when he was diagnosed with manic depression. David also had to be hospitalized briefly. David took Donna on a trip where he wanted her to sleep with him, but she told him she still wanted to wait. On graduation night, Donna told David that she was ready to have sex with him and they finally did.

Afterwards, Donna and David moved in together. However, when David forged a check using Donna's name, Donna broke up with him. She then had a brief affair with Noah, but that eventually ended and she got back together with David again. David then asked Donna to marry him.

Donna and David got married in the last episode of the series.

Eight years later she owns a very popular clothing store.
