[edit] Link

Here's a link I'm saving for myself for an article I'll be writing soon: http://www.rollingstone.com/artists/motleycrue/articles/story/5925213/motley_crue

[edit]  ???

Could you please tell me why the hell you keep removing the images I put on. I have given them source information. -Mike kelly09

[edit] New Busch

The page is crying for a nice photo of the new park, maybe similar to the one that was deleted, only with a game in progress and showing the distance markers so that question will be settled. If someone could take a photo from atop the Arch, like the other 3, that would also be good. I would do it myself except I'm 500 miles away. d:) Wahkeenah 07:24, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] World Series teams

Since you added the World Series team categories to Walker Cooper's article, I thought I'd ask a question I posted to Floydspinky71's talk page last month (and a few others since): Are the categories for members of World Series champions really necessary? I can't help thinking it would be more economical to simply include the roster of the champion team in the article for that year's World Series (most of the WS articles could use some serious expansion). There's already something of a glut of categories on some articles, including those for baseball players with numerous All-Star appearances. (Between All-Star games and WS champions alone, Yogi Berra would end up with 25 categories, in addition to another 15 already on his page.) I don't think it's advantageous to have that many categories on an article; at some point, it gets difficult to wade through them, and individual categories become easy to miss. MisfitToys 02:46, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Indians images

I'm sorry, but why exactly is the MLB web site an invalid source for the image? I feel like we're splitting hairs here because as I had done it (add the source but tag it as an orphaned fair use image) it would still get deleted, but at least it would be deleted for the correct reason and not because you deliberately rejected the source. Regards, howcheng {chat} 07:08, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:April Downloads 014.jpg

Please do not arbitarily change licenses. All images on Wikipedia are required to have a source and a license. It is unclear from the image description page of this image what the source is. It might be User:Mdglazerman but it certainly doesn't say so. If it's to be licensed under the GFDL, as you had tried to do, then we still need to know who the author is. You'll notice that I'd replaced this specific image in the Busch Stadium article infobox with a properly sourced and licensed image (I only point this out to demonstrate that I'm not just attempting to get rid of good pictures). Regards, howcheng {chat} 07:16, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Nice work on Carpenter

I saw how you cleaned up his article and added the new record from last night. Good job on keeping up with things. I haven't checked yet but did anyone put mention of Izzy taking over the all time save record for the club? Sir hugo 11:51, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Blue Jays Presskit

Can you direct me to it? I'd like to use some of the images. --Tykell 21:47, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] KISS

Hello! I've been thinking about the KISS article for some time, and it is a shame that it isn't up to Good Article or Featured Article status by now. I see you heavily involved with editing KISS stuff, and was wondering if you'd be up for joining forces to spiff it up? --cholmes75 (chit chat) 01:57, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

  • I was thinking we could tackle one of the band biographies, or maybe even the main article. Thoughts? --cholmes75 (chit chat) 17:20, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Elder

I'm still waiting for KISS Album Focus to show up, but in checking out KISS Behind the Mask, Allan Schwartzberg claims to have done the drums for "I" and "Odyssey." I'll wait until the other books shows up though, to get more confirmation. --cholmes75 (chit chat) 16:59, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] KISS Template

I went ahead and added the two singles to the template. To edit it, go to Template:KISS. I have the singles ordered according to release date, not alphabetically. I think it makes more sense that way, but I'm always open to alternatives. --cholmes75 (chit chat) 13:32, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "Rock and Roll All Nite" article

As far as I know, the only singles released from SS&H were "Let's Put the X in Sex" and "You Make Me Rock Hard." I think RARAN was released to coincide with the release of the "KISS Exposed" video, though. --cholmes75 (chit chat) 20:15, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] KISS forever single cover.jpg

Nice job finding the image! You should probably add the source URL to the image description page, as Wikipedia is getting very strict about things like that. --cholmes75 (chit chat) 21:53, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] KISS articles

Nice work on the new articles! One thing I was wondering - what KISS resources do you have available to you? For most of the KISS stuff I edit, I regularly use the following:

  1. KISSFAQ website (great resource, as I'm sure you know)
  2. KISStory book (pretty biased, but still has lots of good info)
  3. KISS and Sell (awesome book)
  4. KISS Album Focus (lots of great info that used to be on KISS Asylum)
  5. KISS Alive Forever
  6. Various magazine articles I've saved over the years

Those are the main ones. I think the next article I would really like to beef up is Wicked Lester. There's a ton of info out there and I think we can get that to Featured Article status much easier than we could with the main KISS article. --cholmes75 (chit chat) 02:22, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

  • Nope, no disagreement at all! I just thought it would be good if we both knew what sources we were each using. I don't have Black Diamond, so it's good you do. --cholmes75 (chit chat) 03:54, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Talk to me 1980.jpg

Sweet screen capture - did you take it yourself? --cholmes75 (chit chat) 13:43, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unmasked

Hello - Just to let you know that when you moved the screenshot recently, it caused the track listing counter to reset. If you can find a way around that, cool, but otherwise you might want to just revert it back to the place I moved it. Thanks! --cholmes75 (chit chat) 19:44, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Request for input on KISS article

Hey, when you get a chance please head over to Talk:List of important KISS dates and weigh in. Thanks! --cholmes75 (chit chat) 16:05, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Rock and Roll Over contradiction

It's gold, not platinum. Someone else added the platinum bit, which I have removed. Thanks for the heads up. --cholmes75 (chit chat) 15:41, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wicked Lester

Check it out, WL is now listed as a Good Article! --cholmes75 (chit chat) 13:43, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Goin' Blind

Well, it is a real album believe it or not. But I don't think it's the same Noel Gallagher. --cholmes75 (chit chat) 03:06, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Let Me Rock You

A few alternate covers actually. One had a different Pete pose, the other (Japan) had a cityscape view. --cholmes75 (chit chat) 23:35, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Mikel Japp

Cool. To be honest I don't know much about him, outside of his brief association with KISS. --cholmes75 (chit chat) 18:23, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Americans

Please note that KISS is properly referred to as an "[[United States|American]] hard rock band" rather than an "[[American]] hard rock band." American is a dismabiguation page, and doesn't properly identify the band's origin. Thanks. --Russ Blau (talk) 17:58, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Anthony Reyes

Why have you changed the picture of Cardinals Pitcher Reyes? The picture you put on there is way to big. I cited my source for the picture, and I believe that the one before was better. Please explain your change. Wasn't Getting picky, just couldnt understand the reason for your picture :-p. And i agree the more pics the better. OKH 20:47, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 3EB Songs

Well thanks for improving them. I am right now working on a discography for them. And a template. I hope to add more songs, the disco, and template within the next few hours. Stranger-in-the-future 00:00, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Tigers DYoung 2006.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Tigers DYoung 2006.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok ☠ 18:42, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

Please do not remove the RFU tag again. It is considered vandalism. If you dispute that the picture is replaceable, please follow the dispute process outlined above. —Chowbok ☠ 02:10, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
Constantly reiterating the fair-use justification is irrelevant when there is no dispute that the image is fair use. I know it's fair use, and I know why it's fair use. The point is that it's replaceable fair use. Removing that tag is considered vandalism, and it will get you blocked if you persist. Trust me on this. (And it's "rationale", BTW.) —Chowbok ☠ 02:19, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Bagwell06.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Bagwell06.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. [edit] KISS name change debate

Not sure if you've looked at the KISS talk page recently, but there's a debate over whether or not to change the article name to Kiss (band). --cholmes75 (chit chat) 22:30, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Bagwell2006HA.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Bagwell2006HA.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. [edit] Crazy Crazy Nights

Hello, Darwin's Bulldog. It appears that you copied and pasted Crazy Crazy Nights (song) to Crazy Crazy Nights. Please do not move articles by copying and pasting them because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. If there is an article that you cannot move yourself using the move link at the top of the page, follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Also, if there are any other articles that you copied and pasted, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Scanned Pics 002.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Scanned Pics 002.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. [edit] Unspecified source for Image:5079.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:5079.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:55, 26 May 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talk • contribs • Bot) 04:55, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks for uploading Image:Asshole album cover 2004.jpg.

Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:55, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Shandi single 1980.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:13c.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:13c.jpg.

If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL.

If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 09:28, 1 July 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MER-C 09:28, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Kiss-3.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Kiss-3.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. [edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Paul Gleason Breakfast Club.jpg

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Paul Gleason Breakfast Club.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Laser brain (talk) 05:29, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:KC-A_1126.gif

I have tagged Image:KC-A_1126.gif as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Some examples can be found at Wikipedia:Use rationale examples. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Non-free. Thank you. Project FMF (talk) 01:00, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Oasis where did it all.JPG

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Oasis where did it all.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use.

Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

[edit] fuel

if it is not a bonus track why does it say bonus track on the back insert?, are u a mod cause if u are i need to talk to another one who is smart and if ur not, im going to report u because when the back insert says bonus track on it, so its unbelieverable that u say its not a bonus track, USEDfan (talk) 03:59, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

edit: theres 2 wasted times, track 3 is regular track however the S-mix which is track 13 is a bonus track, i think it was a first week bonus track only since the amazon.com version of the cd does not include the song as seen here http://www.amazon.com/Angels-Devils-Fuel/dp/B000RN87FK/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1207109092&sr=8-1 ,also track 13 is listed as a bonu strack on the back insert, that shud slove ur confussion now, thanx USEDfan (talk) 04:06, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

this is rediclous, im going to just ocntact an administrator on u cause it says its a obnus track so thats how it shud be listed, i think it was only a first week bonus track cause i dont have that song. USEDfan (talk) 06:46, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
huh, i dont care about getting the song, the point i am making is that it was only on the first pressings on the cds, my cd only has 12 tracks, and the one i saw at best buy says it is a bonus track so thats y it will be listed as one jack. USEDfan (talk) 06:50, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
lol, i no im right and thats how it is, it wudnt say bonus track if it wasnt one, it pretty dumb to say "its not a bonus track" when its printed on the cd that it is, luckily i dont care too much about this mediocure band to degenerate myself to ur level and argue so peace.
