[edit] Future and recent events
The city of Vancouver, British Columbia will host the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Snowboard Cross was on the Olympic program for the first time. In this event, Dominique Maltais won a Bronze medal in the women's competition. Cindy Klassen would set a Canadian record by winning five medals (one gold, 2 silver and two bronze) in speed skating.
