Gedeelte van de tekst uit de brief van de RVD: "Bijgaand ontvangt u een CD met daarop vastgelegd de foto's van de bewindslieden van het nl:Kabinet-Balkenende IV. Graag stellen wij deze onder GFDL licentie versie 1.2 voor publicatie via Wikipedia ter beschikking.
Bij de Staat en met name de Rijksvoorlichtingsdienst berust het auteursrecht op de foto's. Daarnaast lijkt van belang te weten, dat de bewindslieden binnen het kader van de rijksoverheidsvoorlichting (in ruime zin) aan de Rijksvoorlichtingsdienst toestemming hebben verleend hun portretten openbaar te maken. Voor zover nodig verleen ik u namens de betreffende bewindslieden toestemming de betreffende foto's op de website van Wikimedia te plaatsen."

- Part of the text of the letter from the RVD: "Find included a CD containing the photos of the members of the Balkenende IV Cabinet. We are pleased to make these available under GFDL license version 1.2 for publication via Wikipedia.
- The copyright on these photos is vested in the State and specifically the Government Information Service (RVD). In addition, it seems important to know that the members of government granted permission for the RVD to publish their portraits for the purpose of national government information (in a broad sense). As far as necessary I grant you permission on behalf of the members of government in question to put the photos in question on Wikimedia's website."
