Sherri Kay DuPree (born on December 3, 1983, in Houston, Texas) is a vocalist, guitarist and lyricist for the band Eisley. Three of her siblings, Chauntelle, Stacy and Weston are also members of Eisley, along with her cousin, Garron. Her youngest sister Christie has performed with them live as well. Her drawings can be seen on many of the Eisley merchandise as well as on most of their album artwork.
In 2005, DuPree met her former husband, Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory. After her break up with Jesse Lacey, the two began dating. In December of 2005, they became engaged at the LA premiere of the Chronicles of Narnia, which is DuPree's favorite book. The couple were married on February 17, 2007 at Villa di Felicita in Tyler, Texas. As of December 2007, the couple have split reportedly as Chad became interested in Hayley Williams of the band Paramore. Threads about this started coming to light in blogs such as Perezhilton.com, and Absolutepunk.net. Sherri has not confirmed or denied the rumors. Sherri currently resides in Tyler, Texas, and appears to be dating Max Bemis of the band Say Anything, as indicated on Eisley.com forum. Max, who admits to being a long time Eisley fan, met Sherri while she was dating Jesse Lacey.
She appears on the New Found Glory tracks "Boulders," "Connected," and their cover of "It Ain't Me Babe." She also appears on various songs with sister Stacy, including "Dance Party Plus" by Head Automatica and "Unglued" by Fair. During their headlining tour, Sherri and Stacy came out and sang with Fair’s singer Aaron Sprinkle during this song. Stacy and Sherri contributed vocals to the recent album Cassadaga by Bright Eyes while in Malibu for the recording of their second full-length, Combinations. They also sang a verse for a song on Brighten's album King vs. Queen
DuPree is inspired by Radiohead, Sunny Day Real Estate, Kent, Pink Floyd, the Beatles, Neutral Milk Hotel and Death Cab for Cutie among others.
DuPree started out playing the drums, but soon dropped the instrument in favor of the guitar.
