The Foxy Pirates (フォクシー海賊団, Fokushī Kaizokudan) are fictional pirates from the anime and manga One Piece, led by Foxy the Silver Fox. The Foxy Pirates are composed mostly of crewmen won by Foxy the Silver Fox through the Davy Back Fight. Despite claiming to be honorable, they always find a way to cheat in their games.

[edit] Part in the Story
On Long Ring Long Land, the Foxy Pirates challenge the Straw Hats to a Davy Back Fight, which Luffy accepts. Throughout all of the games, the Foxy Pirates find ways to cheat, but in the manga they only manage to win one of the three games despite this. In the anime, they win three of the six games. After the final game, a Captain vs. Captain boxing match, Luffy replaces Foxy's old flag with a badly drawn version of it, but otherwise lets them go with no harm intended.
In the anime, Foxy appears again. As it turns out, one of the captains he won from one of the previous games has rebelled and taken over the ship, so Foxy asks for the Straw Hats help. However, even after winning back the ship, Foxy decides to get revenge by putting them through several deathtraps in his ship. However, the Straw Hats defeat him once again and that is the last time they have been seen so far. The last reference made about them was in the Ice Hunter Arc when Franky says that the situation may lead to a Davy Back Fight and asks the crew if they knew of it. The crew replies yes we do moaning and waving their right hands comically.
[edit] Pirate Flag/Ship
Foxy's original flag was a standard Jolly Roger with fox ears and Foxy's unique nose, with the word 'FOXY' written on it.
The current one is a very badly drawn version of the previous flag done by Monkey D. Luffy with the characters for the Japanese word for 'fox' (kitsune) written on it.
Foxy's ship is a large Fox themed galleon. It contains many interesting devices and mechanisms. the fox heads mouth works like an elevator, its deck has small swiviel cannons and arrow launchers. Inside it has a hall way that leads out the side of the ship, a room with a spike covered floor,and a special combat gym with Foxy's Gorilla Puncher robot.

Foxy the Silver Fox (銀ギツネのフォクシー Gin-gitsune no Fokushī) is the captain of his pirate crew with a 24,000,000 beli bounty and a cheater and a trickster who participates in the Davy Back Fight, a contest between pirate crews where the winning team can steal crew members from the losing team. Most members of Foxy's crew joined him because he won them in this contest. Though he acts supremely confident most of the time and seems quite fond of himself, Foxy is extremely sensitive to insults or criticism. All it takes is a few kind words from his crew to perk him up again.
Foxy ate the Devil Fruit Noro Noro no Mi (ノロノロの実 Slow Slow) which allows him to fire microscopic particles that can slow down his enemies or other objects. When he cheats, he frequently uses these powers to increase the impact of his attacks or stop his opponents in their tracks.
During the Davy Back Fight, In the Manga version the Strawhats lose Chopper in the first match, but they win him back in the second match, and in the last match, Luffy beats Foxy. In the Anime version the Straw Hat Crew loses Chopper in the first match. In the second match the strawhats win and get a horse with the name of Cheri instead. In the 3rd match the strawhats win again and get Chopper back. Foxy, upset about this, demands a rematch. In the 1st match, the Strawhats lose and Robin is taken. In the second match Chopper was taken. Nami then convinces Foxy to increase the bet. The is battle set on the Foxy Ship, and the rules allow the contestants, Foxy and Luffy, to use whatever they find on the ship. Luffy manages to beat Foxy's Noro Noro power by using a mirror he found on Foxy's ship, reflecting the Noroma photons back at him, then delivering a final blow with a 30 second delay. He then takes all of Foxy's crew and Flag except for Porche, Hamburg and Foxy, however at the end Luffy releases them all allowing them to go back to Foxy.

Porche (ポルチェ, Poruche) is considered an idol by the crew and is loved by all of the men. She is very loyal to Foxy and also serves as his comfort when he has suffered an insult. Porche has a huge obsession with Tony Tony Chopper since he's so cute (though only in brain-point otherwise she has no interest). Her weapon is a baton-like rod that shoots shurikens covered with flowers ("Flower Shuriken"). She enters the Donut Race event along with Kapoty and Monda.
In the anime only, Porche can utilise the technique "Flower Hypnosis", which causes its victims to fall asleep for a while. This is used to great advantage in the Roller Race event (which is also exclusive to the anime).

Kapoty (カポーティ, Kapōti) is a fish-man who participates in the Donut race with Porche and Monda against the Straw Hat Pirates. He is a swordfish fish-man who uses Fishman Karate, including a karate chop that can split the ocean.
His sidekick is a Star Shark caled Monda, who can bite on his lower half to form an "unstoppable" Mer-sword=fish man.

Hamburg (ハンバーグ, Hanbāgu) is a huge monkey like human who is almost always seen laughing. He often carries Foxy around and tends to help him cheat. Hamburg is also the leader of the "Groggy Monsters", despite being the smallest, and during the Groggy Ring is defeated by a series of kicks from Sanji. However, in the filler, he returns to compete in other games. His weapons are two large bats, despite there being a rule against weapons in the Groggy Ring.

Second in size only to Big Pan, Pickles (ピクルス, Pikurusu) The "Tackle Demon" is the huge, two-mace wielding member of the Groggy Monsters. Like the others on his team, he tends to laugh for no reason. During the Groggy Ring, he is beaten by Sanji when he kicks him off the field & into the referee, knocking him out. In filler he reappears in other games. His weapons are two spiked shoulder pads, increasing his attacks for tackles.

The final and largest member of the Groggy Monsters, Big Pan (ビッグパン, Biggu Pan) is a wotan, a half-fishman, half-giant. His half-fish species is mudfish, and his skin is extremely slippery, making him resistant to physical attacks. During the Groggy Ring, where he acted as his team's ball, he was defeated by Zoro launching a spinning, sword-wielding Pickles into him, then Sanji's Anti-Manner Kick Course, followed by Zoro smashing him into the goal ring. He continues participating in anime filler, however. In Pirate Dodgeball, he throws the ball so hard that it takes out not only Usopp but the entirety of his own team barring himself, Hamburg, and Foxy. In Red Light-Green Light, he is taken out early when he and Pickles fall into the sea. His weapons are two huge pans which he uses to crush his enemies.
He makes an appearance in One Piece Grand Battle! Rush as a hazard in the Groggy Ring. He throws axes, and spits Pickles out of his mouth. His weapons are two large pans.

The announcer and commentator of the Davy Back Fight events, Itomimizu (イトミミズ, Itomimizu) is often seen riding a very large bird named Chuchuun to get a better view of the action. His name means tubifex worm, leading to many fans referring to him as simply 'Tubifex'.

Monda (モンダ, Monda) is a Star Shark who assisted Porche and Kapoty in the Donut Race, pulling the "Cutie Wagon" across the water. Can perform a fusion with Kapoty in order to create a being with the strength of a merman and the tail of a shark.

MasshiKaku(マっシカク, whose name translates as 'Really Square'),is the defense against the straw Hats in the roller race. He is 20 feet tall, really fat, really slow, and an unstoppable canyon wall. Plus, every shape about him is square.
[edit] Chiqicheetah
(who has apparently eaten the Neko Neko no Mi, Model Cheetah (ネコネコの実 モデル チーター Cat Cat Fruit, Model: Cheetah), though this is never explicitly stated), is the team's unstoppably fast racer in the roller race. He has an extraordinarily sharp sense of smell (even for a Zoan). He uses rollerblades and regularly is quick enough to dodge any attack thrown on him. He is defeated when Zoro cuts down a Kiwi tree and crushes him and puts him out of bounds at the same time. Sanji, cook, knew that trees of the class the kiwi belongs to have an exemic effect on cats.

A squid fish man who has eight arms and is extremely rubbery, often resorting to a tangle attack. He has eight arms and gigantic top knot in the same style as Porche.

A fish man whose species is not easily determined. He has the gills and the skin color of a shark, however, his sword arms are not easily found on any shark. He also resembles a Manta in this respect. His arms have extendable swords which resemble ax-heads. They look extremely sharp, even going so far as to almost seem to puncture luffy in his Baloon state. However, he has stated that his sword-arms are not meant to be used to cut. They are mostly there to help out every so often and to play a bluff.
- Manga Only: Sonieh, the leader of Foxy's 50-man team of carpenters, Donoban the "battle-ready mechanic" (who bears a slight resemblance to Franky), & Gina-chan the "down-right sexy" carpenter.

[edit] Tony Tony Chopper
See Tony Tony Chopper. Chopper was in this crew for a brief period because of the Straw Hat pirates defeat in the Donut Race. He did not enjoy being a part of the crew but Zoro's words made him take it like a man. He is soon after won back into the Straw hat crew when Sanji and Zoro win the Groggy Ring match. In anime only, he rejoins the crew again when the straw hats lost in the hide and seek match but was soon after won back along with Nico Robin. Foxy and Porche chose him because of his cuteness, as Porche continuously hugged Chopper like a Teddy bear but when Chopper transformed into his Heavy Point she grew disgusted.

See Nico Robin. Nico Robin was on the crew for a brief period and in the anime only. She was taken from the StrawHat Crew when they lost in pirate dodgeball. She was won back along with Tony Tony Chopper.
[edit] Crew members in the Mutiny
In the Mutiny in the Foxy's Return filler arc, the Fang Frog pirates/Fanged Toad pirates, who lost five davy back fights to the Foxy pirates, stage a mutiny, as one-half of the entire crew was won, as well as the flag. The 497 people dismissed at the conclusion of the last arc (anime only) were quickly taken over by the unidentified captain and crew. The crew lost in the Davy Back fight totals 23 (approximately), including the whip-weilding captain and every main member of the crew. All participated in the mutiny.
[edit] Crew Strength
Foxy has won 920 Davy Back Fights which has won him a large crew of 499 souls. Despite their origins, most of the crew are indeed glad to serve under Foxy. The Groggy Monsters, made up of Hamburg, Pickles, and Big Pan, are very powerful and managed to give Zoro and Sanji a very hard time; and the captain is no slouch in terms of fighting either. However, none of the other crewmembers seem to be particularly skilled, and even the stronger fighters rely on cheating and tricks in order to win.

In the anime only, technically most of the crew (497 out of 499) would have become Straw Hat Pirates after Luffy had won them in the Davy Back Fight, however Luffy dismisses them soon after. Foxy eventually wins them back.
The name of Foxy's pirate ship is "Sexy Foxy".
