Silly Symphonies

Silly Symphonies er ein felles nevnar på ei rekkje animerte kortfilmar laga av Walt Disney Productions frå 1929 til 1939. Disney hadde stor suksess med teiknefilmen Steamboat Willie i 1928. Men formatet med faste karakterar på skjermen gav ikkje rom nok for eksperimentering av nye teknikkar. Dermed kom ideen om Silly Symphonies fram. Silly Symphonies skulle vere teiknefilmar utan begrensing til noko tema eller faste figurar. Derimot var filmane basert på at handlinga følgde musikalske tema.
