シーダ・スコチポル

シーダ・スコチポル（Theda Skocpol、1947年5月4日 - ）は、アメリカの社会学者、政治学者。ハーヴァード大学教授。専門は、歴史社会学、社会政策、現代アメリカ政治、市民参加など。ミシガン州デトロイト生まれ。
ミシガン州立大学卒業後、ハーヴァード大学大学院でバリントン・ムーアに師事し、1975年に博士号を取得。ハーヴァード大学助教授・准教授、シカゴ大学教授、1986年から現職。アメリカ歴史社会科学会会長、アメリカ政治学会会長などを歴任。
マクロ歴史社会学の視点から、社会革命における国際要因の重要性を指摘した博士論文States and Social Revolutions. で注目を浴びる。1990年代に入ると、関心はアメリカの社会政策に向かう。
