[redaktar] Praha
Komento da [User: Morkai5]:
- Praha: Me kredas ke ta nomo di ca urbo devus esar "Praga", nomo plu internaciona dil chefa urbo chekiana. Quon vi pensas pri lo? Me savas ke la nomi urbal restas ofte en la nomo nacional, ma Praga es plu multe internaciona, nam la nomo Praha existas pro ke chekiana linguo ne havas g en nacional vorti.
Me preferas nomo "Praha" kam "Praga", nam me esas Cheko e me pensas, ke ol es plu facila skribar regionala nomo kam skribar internacionala nomo --Chekiano 19 17:07, 30 di mayo 2008 (UTC)
[redaktar] Parto-stato stato
Komento da User:Galfridus:
- Parto-stati: Ica vorto esas eroro. La vorto en Ido por la granda administrala dividuri de Usa (e tale anke Brazilia, Australia, India, e Mexikia) es "stato". Me savas ke ca es anke la vorto por "suverena lando" ma ico preske nultempe povas krear konfundo.
[redaktar] Babileyo

[redaktar] Anunco por sysop-i
Saluto sysop-kolego,
Do on mustas kontrolar anke vakua pagini presante la redaktar-butono pro saveskar qua esas la reala konteno di ula pagino. – Artomo 20:24, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi! Aren't there any volunteers to add Ido words to OmegaWiki, the multilingual wiki dictionary? Currently, there's no one working on this language... 82.154.209.172 00:34, 14 di junio 2007 (UTC)
[redaktar] Namespaces
Another thing this community should think about would be putting the correct namespaces. I suggest moving Wikipedia and Category at first and see how it goes. This means, all pages starting by Wikipedia: would become Wikipedio: and that would be the correct name for the project (I see many pages are redirects to the correct name). Then we have Category which would become Kategorio, and one could also use this word in a text, i.e. [[Kategorio:Lingui]]. I volunteer to monitor the change process if people find it ok. Maybe some small things will be needed from an administrator. Please comment. Thanks, Malafaya 21:15, 24 di novembro 2007 (UTC)
- It would be nice if all were in Ido. Hopefully such chance is possible without any problems. – Artomo 21:56, 24 di novembro 2007 (UTC)
- It is possible. May I suggest the following:
NS_MEDIA => 'Media', NS_SPECIAL => 'Specala', NS_MAIN => '', NS_TALK => 'Diskuto', NS_USER => 'Uzanto', NS_USER_TALK => 'Uzanto_Diskuto', NS_PROJECT => 'Wikipedio' NS_PROJECT_TALK => 'Wikipedio_Diskuto', NS_IMAGE => 'Imajo', NS_IMAGE_TALK => 'Imajo_Diskuto', NS_MEDIAWIKI => 'MediaWiki', NS_MEDIAWIKI_TALK => 'MediaWiki_Diskuto', NS_TEMPLATE => 'Shablono', NS_TEMPLATE_TALK => 'Shablono_Diskuto', NS_HELP => 'Helpo', NS_HELP_TALK => 'Helpo_Diskuto', NS_CATEGORY => 'Kategorio', NS_CATEGORY_TALK => 'Kategorio_Diskuto'
-
- Please give me your feedback on these translations. We will have to be careful with pages that already exist in these new namespaces if same pages exist in original (English) namespaces. Thanks. Malafaya 22:08, 24 di novembro 2007 (UTC)
- These same namespaces could also be applied to the Wikivortaro (by adapting both NS_PROJECT and NS_PROJECT_TALK, of course).
- Seems to be fine. "Main" could be "Chefa" and instead of “Diskuto” use the word “Debato”, as it is used up there. On the other hand, "Debato kun uzanto", "Debato pri Wikipedio", "Debato pri imajo", "Debato pri Mediawiki", "Debato pri Shablono", "Debato pri helpo", "Debato pri kategorio" were better Ido but if we think that “Debato”-pages are subpages at the main page the form as “Uzanto_Debato”, “Wikipedio_Debato”, and so on, are acceptable to me. – Artomo 23:00, 24 di novembro 2007 (UTC)
- "Debato" is good word. I like it. "Main" is the name of the article namespace which is usually empty (just the name of the article without any prefix like Wikipedia: or Category:. If we put Chefa, then articles would be accessible only by, for example, Chefa:Portugalana linguo. Let's keep it empty like in all other Wikis ;) --Malafaya 02:05, 25 di novembro 2007 (UTC)
- I agree. Fafnir 20:04, 25 di novembro 2007 (UTC)
- Like in Wiktionary, and because the other namespaces names already changed, I'm going to request the project name change here in Wikipedio. The new name should be Wikipedio. All the pages that already in the new namespace may be removed. Most of them are redirects and just one is a copy of that same page in the old namespace. Malafaya 18:06, 30 di novembro 2007 (UTC)

[redaktar] Betawiki: better support for your language in MediaWiki
Dear community. I am writing to you to promote a special wiki called Betawiki. This wiki facilitates the localisation (l10n) of the MediaWiki interface. You may have changed many messages here to use your language in the interface, but if you would log in to for example the Japanese language Wiktionary, you would not be able to use the interface as well translated as here. In fact, of 1,762 messages in the core of MediaWiki, 38.28% of the messages have been translated. Betawiki also supports the translation of messages for 126 extensions, with 2,174 messages. Many of them are used in WMF projects and they are vital for understanding the wiki. Currently 1.17% of the WMF extension messages have been translated. Translators for over 90 languages contribute their work to MediaWiki this way every month.
If you wish to contribute to better support of your language in MediaWiki, as well as for many MediaWiki extensions, please visit Betawiki, create an account and request translator privileges. You can see the current status of localisation of your language on MediaWiki.org and do not forget to get in touch with others that may already be working on your language on Betawiki.
If you have any further questions, please let me know on my talk page on Betawiki. We will try and assist you as much as possible, for example by importing all messages from a local wiki for you to start with, if you so desire.
You can also find us on the Freenode IRC network in the channel #mediawiki-i18n where we will be happy to help you get started.
Thank you very much for your attention and I do hope to see some of you on Betawiki soon! Thanks, Malafaya@Betawiki 17:16, 7 di februaro 2008 (UTC)
- Currently 36.11% of the MediaWiki messages and 1.32% of the messages of the extensions used by the Wikimedia Foundation projects have been localised.
