Zdeněk Grygera (born May 14, 1980) is a Czech football player who, as of 2008, is playing for Juventus. He is an attacking right back also adept at centre back and wing back.
Grygera played for the Czech Republic at Euro 2004 and at the World Cup 2006 in Germany. Grygera was expected to leave Ajax during the summer of 2006 for an Italian club but because of the 2006 Serie A scandal, the deal fell through and Grygera kept playing for Ajax allowing him to leave Ajax in 2007 on a free transfer due to the Bosman ruling
In August 2006 there were rumours linking Grygera with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, although he responded to the speculation by insisting he does not see his future in the Premiership.
On 10 January 2007, it was confirmed by Ajax's technical director, Martin Van Geel, that Grygera would be moving to Juventus in a Bosman transfer when his contract with Ajax expires in June 2007. Grygera had already expressed his delight over the possibility of playing with one of his Czech compatriots, Pavel Nedvěd.
