[edit] Football
Dear Ytny; welcome to Wikipedia. I understand you want to try control everything and I've seen you doing some bad edits regarding football. The link to a page of van Nistelrooy is absolutely fine. The only thing I forgot is the Dutch language link near it. I will correct my mistake now, and you seem to think I'm advertising my site, while the link I put isn't my website. So that assumption is wrong. Greetings. --GHoeberX 15:39, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
- Stop deleting my link! I think it's a very useful link and then who are you to change it? All the other external links are 10 times worse. In fact that one link I put is the best, but you don't know since you aren't from the Netherlands. It's perfectly normal to put links from other languages as well when a football player comes from that country! --GHoeberX 15:39, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] 2007 NBA Draft
Ytny: before you go and make changes, and send messages about things looking like "vandalism," check your facts. Both Dan Coleman and Spencer Tollackson have declared for the draft, and while they made a decision that can be looked upon as foolish (much like the one your parents made when they decided not to use birth control the night you were conceived), it doesn't mean that an idiot such as yourself can go and unmake that decision for them. Get a life. If you don't know what you are talking about than leave as much alone. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Anderspc (talk • contribs)

- No really, you noticed your error and apologized. Mission accomplished on my end. Anderspc 21:47, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry Ytny, sorta new.. I was trying to fix Van Nisterooys page.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.175.11.74 (talk • contribs)
[edit] 2007 NBA Draft 8.4% calculation
I actually just calculated it myself. I took the probability of Memphis not receiving a top three pick (the probability of them receiving the #4 pick), and multiplied it by the probability of Boston not getting a top 3 (the probability of them receiving a #4 plus the probability of them receiving a #5), then multiplied that by the probability of Milwaukee not receiving a top 3 (probability [#4] + probability [#5] + probability [#6]). The result was 0.0839 or something, so I just rounded up to 8.4%. I've taken a few statistics courses and my father used to be a calculus professor, and I'm 99% sure that this is the right way to calculate that. I appreciate your diligence. We need more people like you on WP! Davemcarlson 18:05, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
- Is there a good way to cite something based on mathematical calculation? Should I just enclose my justification for the number in a <!-- and --> type of comment? Davemcarlson 19:00, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] vandalism
I agree with the above. Stop saying everything is vandalism! Just cos you dont know the facts doesn't mean its automatically wrong ok?

Hi - I noticed that you left the tpv warning for this (now blocked) user after he removed comments from his talk page. There has been wide community discussion, and it has been determined that any user may remove warning from their talk pages. The tpv warning is designed to be used in cases where the user blanks someone else's talk page, or messes with any other talk page than their own. Thanks, Martinp23 18:02, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Shinji Ono Stats
His stats at his official site are correct as of December 5, 2005.
User:Pakupaku 23:01, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
- I think those stats sites separate domestic league matches from other competitions. If those stats include non-Eredivise games, then his goals record in 2002-03 season should be retrieved. In the season, he scored 9 goals (7 in Eredivise, 2 in CL qualifying) in all competitions.

Please do not tag an image I have created and permit for use on Wikipedia, with tags which don't apply to it. This is specified very clearly that I permit the use of my work, and hense why I tagged it as so.. if you can't be bothered to read first, then that is your problem. - The Daddy 15:43, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Tevez-WestHamPalermo.jpg
Tagger: If this image has, at the time of tagging, a rationale explaining why it is irreplaceable, please do not forget to explain on the talk page why you think that rationale is not valid. Tags applied in contravention of this requirement may be removed; if a rationale is added after the tagging, the normal process for disputing a tag should be followed.
This is stated on the tag which you placed on one of my images, yet you haven't bothered to state your reasons on the talk. If you fail to do what is required of you, then the tag gets removed. Regards. - The Daddy 15:53, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Duece22
I'm not sure that more warnings are going to change Duece22's behavior. I'm very puzzled and frustrated by his or her behavior but it's clear to me that if he or she continues then we're going to eventually ask for him or her to be blocked indefinitely. I honestly wonder if he or she knows about Talk pages (hence my latest message). --ElKevbo 03:04, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

For all your sterling work, on combating vandalism and tagging images for copyright problems, as well as contributing quality content on football (soccer) and other subjects, I feel you are well deserving of a(nother) barnstar. It's my pleasure to award one. Qwghlm 22:44, 9 May 2007 (UTC) |
[edit] Links to negations.net
You undid some ten link additions by an IP. Is there any pre-history to this? Is negations.net a known spammer? I'd like to selective re-add some links. E.g. linking the Dirlik interview would be a nice addition to Arif Dirlik which is rather terse and lacking some background. --Pjacobi 10:05, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hey, Do you hate Korea? Why do you think it violated fairness?
[1] I ask for you to read this page. Frei's Goal is an obvious controversy. Although FIFA admit this goal, some soccer experts have claimed that it is not goal yet. And, AFC disputed for FIFA about that in November, 2006. Miracleezz 10:51, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, that edit was a mistake on my part. That's what I get for leaving the computer with a half-edited page for an hour. :-) Thanks for taking care of it. To User:Miracleezz, Wikipedia does not use Wikipedia, or Wikinews, as a source. If you have a reliable source that talks about the controversy, it needs to be added, or else that section will continue to be deleted. Neier 13:35, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

- [2] Hey, I found why it is a controversy for the BBC News(Not Korean Page). So, Is that enough?
And, why the title of agony of doha documents be written by the view of Japan? I insist that violate POV. Miracleezz 18:17, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Seniors at the NBA 2007 draft
Hi, Ytny. You did not let me finish!!. The "probable senior players" are not my speculation. I took those names from two different web pages www.nbadraft.net and www.draftexpress.com. Some of those players, like Al Thornton or Acie Law are consensous first draft picks. Of course nobody will be who is going to be selected until draft day, but the people that I am mentioning, are not picked by myself, but for experts. Thanks for your contribution. I'm still figuring out the in's out's here I removed the image from it's article. M-BMor 00:57, 25 May 2007 (UTC) I edited it down some from the IPC listing (which is promotional) so I figured that counted as origional wok ... but not so much. Can a Pic in an advertisement count ?
- thanks ... and the other image the Image:Wsbc campus.jpg is from www.walnutstreet.org ...it is also used on promotiobal material from their organization. I know that works somewhere in the wikipedia licensing but I am not sure how to list this.
