Valdo Cândido de Oliveira Filho ("Filho" is "Son" in portuguese language) better known simply as Valdo, was a Brazilian footballer born on 12 January 1964 in Siderópolis, Brazil. He played as an offensive midfielder for such clubs as SL Benfica and Paris Saint-Germain, and the Brazil national football team. He ended his playing career at the age of forty, after having helped Botafogo achieve its return to the Brasileirão Série A top division.

He had sixty-five caps for the Brazil national football team, in 1993 for the last time, scoring eleven goals, and was present at the 1990 FIFA World Cup.
