United States presidential election in Virginia, 2004

This article describes the United States presidential election, 2004, in Virginia.
Virginia is considered as a red state, having voted for the Republican candidate in all presidential elections since 1952 except during 1964's Democratic landslide.
President George W. Bush won here by a comfortable margin, with a 8.20% lead over Democratic senator John Kerry, a tiny increase since his victory of 2000 against Al Gore.
