Stratford Hall an independent coeducational private school located on the east side of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada opened on September 5, 2000. The school offers the International Baccalaureate primary years and diploma programmes. The middle years programme has been developed, with official authorization for the program currently being sought. In accordance with the IB philosophy, the school emphasizes multilingual ability and a global perspective on issues. Graduates obtain an IB diploma recognized by universities world-wide.
Stratford Hall considers itself to be an urban school, connected with its surroundings. The Lower Campus (grades K-5) is located at Vancouver's Italian Cultural Centre, about 1 km east of the Upper School (grades 6-12), which is located on Commercial Drive. The Upper School, located in a state-of-the-art facility that formerly housed a performing arts centre for youth, offers its student an enriched academic curriculum including music (taiko drumming), performing arts (circus activities), and outdoor education.
The first Stratford Hall grade 12 class graduated in May of 2007.
