Kerrisdale Elementary School is a Kindergarten to Grade 7 school located in the Kerrisdale neighbourhood on the west side of Vancouver. The original school opened in 1908 in the small building off West 39th Avenue. The main building was constructed in 1922, the north wing in 1925, and the south wing in 1955. In 2006, the main school building underwent seismic upgrading that was completed in December of that year. The school now includes elevators on every floor and some classes made bigger as well as new flooring.
Kerrisdale's French immersion program is currently offered for grades K-4 but will extend to grade 7 as each group of students moves on to the next year. Another district program offered by the school is a band program for grades 6 and 7. Kerrisdale participates in Vancouver's elementary basketball and soccer leagues also for grades 6 and 7.
