RfB

SQLBot is slightly misrepresenting the tally at The Rambling Man's RfB. I can't see that Jeffrey's malformed his customary oppose (and I wish he hadn't opposed!) but in the interests of fair play, it should be properly reflected. --Dweller (talk) 10:12, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, it'll do that from time to time, same as Tango's RFA bot (especially since it's based on the same code). If you look here, you'll see that tango's page can't see it either.... I'll look at it in a bit, and see if I can patch his libraries.... Silly unpredictable humans! :) SQLQuery me! 10:52, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
Ok, I've figured it out, I think. It's near-impossible to detect single supports or opposes, it seems. It works fine, once there is 2 or more. Still, at 70+ supports right now, to one support, the percentage shouldn't matter that much. I'll keep trying to fix it, but, the only way I see to reliably detect free-form opposes, kinda requires two of them :( SQLQuery me! 15:15, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
Just popped in for a moment. That's hilarious. If I remember, I'll give SQLBot an award for being so human. --Dweller (talk) 16:00, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
I think it would be neater, and better to have the bot update both tables. It seems odd that two bots are performing what are essentially identical functions. Tangotango has stated he will not be improving his bot any further, so I think it would be a good idea SQLbot did both. What do you think? Majorly (talk) 17:22, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
It's entirely possible, see User:SQL/RfA_Report... I kinda like it split up right now :) However, I can certainly re-target that, if we want it done by a single bot. SQLQuery me! 20:37, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
Personally, I prefer such. For further discussion on the matter, see Wikipedia_talk:Requests_for_adminship#RfB_reports.3F. Thanks, SorryGuy  Talk  05:39, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
(U) Seems like everyone wants it all-in-one. Fair enough :) Give me a few SQLQuery me! 11:28, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
Alright, how's this grab everyone? User:SQL/RfX Report SQLQuery me! 11:36, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Re comments above, it's interesting that SQLBot now (accurately) sees TRM's RfB as having 1 oppose. A glitch work-around suggestion: Could you preset the Bot to think there are 2 opposes, so when it does its first check, it amends the 2 to 0 and will then work when (if) it goes up to 1 again? --Dweller (talk) 13:56, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

I tried that, on my sandboxwiki, it didn't seem to get it... I think, it has to do with the struck oppose now... I'll get the source code up, if you want to mess with it, however... SQLQuery me! 14:46, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
You must be kidding. I'm flattered, but I'd do better with translating an Urdu poem into Fon. --Dweller (talk) 15:15, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

little tiny insignificant SQLBot bug

When you click the report link for an RfA candidate, it asks the server for an RfB report and (understandably) says there's a fatal error. --barneca (talk) 21:49, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

and if you go to Wikipedia talk:Requests for adminship you get a big red statement Expression error: Division by zero. Yngvarr (c) 22:16, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
Not a SQLBot bug, a template problem. Mathematically speaking, one cannot divide by zero. Early RFA's, are at 0/0/0. :( Feel free to fix it... I didn't write the template, and, I'm not that great with them. Template:Bureaucrat candidate is the one I'm referring to (works for RFA and RFB...) SQLQuery me! 03:53, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Should be fixed. --MZMcBride (talk) 04:17, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Support/Fail color?

It seems like the Green/Yellow/Red shading for support percentage box has been disabled. There's probably a discussion about this somewhere that I can't find. Was this intentional or an aspect of the recent work on converting to RfX that hasn't been addressed yet? Just curious. Ronnotel (talk) 13:44, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

I never set it up to do the colors, I've never been a fan of 'em, Neither were the crats I spoke to.... However, I'm sure you could always edit the above template, to implement them, if you guys wanted to :) SQLQuery me! 17:15, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

RfB report

Would you mind if I tried changing the clear parameter and seeing if that can help affect the whitespace on WT:RFA? -- Avi (talk) 04:58, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

So long as you don't modify the report pages themselves, go nuts, with the templates :) (The bot will just overwrite you, if you modify the RfX report page, or, the RFB report page, by design, if you have a specific suggested change, to those pages, I can implement it directly) SQLQuery me! 05:01, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
Tried it, didn't seem to get it :( SQLQuery me! 05:02, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

I did this. I hope I didn't break anything... -- Avi (talk) 06:34, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Heh, no problems there, that code's used to generate the now-unused RfB Report :) The RfX Report, as an experimental userspace project, hasn't been posted yet, out of my lazieness mostly. I thought you meant that I should revert my changes tho, with your last message? (and, I did...) SQLQuery me! 06:36, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
No. For some reason, when the bot re-posted the report, it used "clear:right" as the code, when "clear:left" allows the archive box to sit next to it. If you could get the code to use left, that would be great! -- Avi (talk) 06:38, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
Rut-roh! Unreverted my changes! :) SQLQuery me! 06:40, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

This is what I tried to allude to a couple of sections above. Click on the "report" link on any of the RfA's (not RfB's) to see the problem. --barneca (talk) 13:51, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

SQLBot's sunny disposition

Just a short note to say that I very much like seeing an edit summary that includes the words "no problems" popping up on my watchlist every half hour. Very reassuring. --barneca (talk) 16:49, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Right-justify numeric columns?

I design a lot of on-screen tables (I write trading software) and I find it's usually easier to read numeric columns when they are right-justified. Can you try that with the new RfA table and see if it looks better? Just a suggestion. Thanks. Ronnotel (talk) 00:55, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Hmm, can you make an example change to the template, so I'm sure what you mean? :) (I'm not the best with CSS...) SQLQuery me! 01:10, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
OK, I poked around with it and here is my good faith attempt at a fix. I hope this doesn't land me in the village stocks. Ronnotel (talk) 03:22, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
Looks good to me! :) I thought you meant the table, the template, the bot won't touch :) SQLQuery me! 03:24, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
OK - well, glad it worked. It does seem a little easier on the eyes. Ronnotel (talk) 03:25, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Suggested rename of User:Non-Free Content Compliance Bot

Cross-posted to User talk:Non-Free Content Compliance Bot, User talk:ST47, User talk:Martinp23, User talk:SQL, and User talk:Betacommand. Would you (all four of you) consider asking for a rename of this bot to User:NFCC Bot (10c)? The reason is that I hope the proposal at Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria compliance will gain support, and part of that is a plan to create the following bot accounts to take on the roles of enforcing compliance of those aspects of WP:NFCC that can be checked by bots. User:NFCC Bot (3a), User:NFCC Bot (3b), User:NFCC Bot (7), User:NFCC Bot (9), User:NFCC Bot (10b), User:NFCC Bot (10c). Since the code proposed to run on User:Non-Free Content Compliance Bot is a clone of BetacommandBot's task of enforcing the bot-enforceable part of NFCC#10c, I think the rename I am proposing will help make things clearer. Could you post replies at User talk:Non-Free Content Compliance Bot? Thanks. Carcharoth (talk) 01:55, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

My RfB

I wanted to personally thank you, SQL, for your support in my recent RfB. I am thankful and appreciative that you feel that I am worthy of the trust the community requires of its bureaucrats, and I hope to continue to behave in a way that maintains your trust in me and my actions. I have heard the community's voice that they require more of a presence at RfA's of prospective bureaucrats, and I will do my best over the near future to demonstrate such a presence and allow the community to see my philosophy and practices in action. I hope I can continue to count on your support when I decide to once again undergo an RfB. If you have any suggestions, comments, or constructive criticisms, please let me know via talkpage or e-mail. Thank you again. -- Avi (talk) 16:05, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Hehe, nah, The template, Template:Bureaucrat candidate is what formats the rows. That's probably where you'd want to put color code, if you want colors :) The bot does not modify that template, so, it's safe to edit... I'd rather see colors and percentages and whatnot, handled by the community at large :) SQLQuery me! 06:38, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
I have had a careful look but I can't seem to find the code that generates the column color in Tangobot. Can you give me a pointer? I'd be happy to recover it and apply it in a way that makes sense to the RfX report but I don't think I can do it from scratch. Ronnotel (talk) 12:44, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

What was

this all about? — NovaDog(contribs) 20:27, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Hmm, that's twice now. Possibly a DB/API glitch again, I'll add a logging hook, to look at what the bot sees the page as, in case that happens again. SQLQuery me! 04:10, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

User:SQL/Reflist

Hi SQL. You did a great job with the above project. Do you think you could do the same with the {{GR}}-template. The case is that if you use this template in certain ways ({{GR|1}}, {{GR|2}}, {{GR|3}}, {{GR1|4}}, {{GR|5}}, {{GR|6}}) it transcludes references in ref tags. The GR-template is transcluded on 40,000 articles, and many of these lack a reference section. Is it possible for you to do the same as you did on User:SQL/Reflist and make a list of the articles that needs to be fixed? Rettetast (talk) 21:34, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Usertalk from when I was away

Notice I'm going to be away for a couple days, due to family issues (emergency surgery on my daughter), if you have an issue with an administrative action, please see WP:LOA for someone that can help you. I left User:SQLBot running, if it starts acting up, just block it, and I'll deal with it when I get in. If anything I've done needs reversed, just do it. Thanks, SQLQuery me! 13:02, 10 March 2008 (UTC) I'm back, she's back, she's happy, and, a bit sore now. Re-packing wound cavities is less than fun, on an angry 2 year old. Good luck message

SQL, just a little note to say I'm thinking of you at this time. Good luck to your daughter during the surgery—she'll be fine. I am truly saddened to see what you wrote here, and hope that this emergency for your family ends soon. Kind regards, east.718 at 01:25, March 11, 2008

Thanks, guys. My wife made me come home last night, she slept over at the hospital. My youngest got out of surgery, just fine. They've still got her quarantined (not sure why), and, pumped full of antibiotics, and pain meds. Looks like there's a chance she may come home tonight, after they re-pack the wound cavity. I really appreciate the comments everyone's left.... This has got to have been one of the most stressful, and, emotionally intense things I've ever experienced. I probably shouldn't have protected this page... I did so, from the Family OR waiting room, right after I regained composure from walking her to the OR.... Was probably trying to distract myself. Anyhow, thanks again, for your kind words, and support, guys. I'm going to head back up to the hospital soon. SQLQuery me! 14:47, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Deadbots

I've notified all the bot owners of bots inactive for more than a year and responses are trickling in at Wikipedia_talk:Bots/Requests_for_approval#Dead_bots. I've also followed interwiki links through to owner's home-wikis. I'm trying to think up the next phase for this list. I'm debating between waiting a week or two and then using EmailUser to notify those who haven't responded or compiling a list of those who haven't edited since June 2007 and notifying them. The Beta scene

Hi SQL, you're the last one before beddy and away for two days. Can you think of any better solutions for the BC/BCB/BAG/BRFA scene other than what appears to be everyone lining up on either side and singing Red rover? It all seems rather polarized. I'll say right here that I've gained the impression that BAG has a tendency to close ranks and sometimes project the message "you don't understand". I can understand that reaction (if it exists), most people really don't understand, but most of the BC debate has come down to people who actually do understand, if not the coding issues, certainly the societal ones. So is there a way forward that doesn't involve an Arb case? Are there any fora where the issues can be separated and calmly discussed? I'm just asking for innovative ideas here where we can make progress rather than Arb-storms. Regards! Franamax (talk) 09:40, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm sorry, this one kinda slipped under the radar. I'll do my best to remember to reply to you tonight. SQL's Alternate Account (talk) 01:10, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Asteroid articles

A tag has been placed on 2676 Aarhus, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Bot

SQL, I was wondering if you could teach me how to get the Wikiproject tagging to work on Newsletterbot. I really want to get that 2nd task on there. Can you teach me how it works? I found the code - I was wondering if I can get it on my bot. Can you help? Thanks, - Milk's Favorite Cookie 22:02, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

You use AWB, so that likely won't work for you. I seem to recall seeing a plugin for AWB to do that... lemme see if I can find it (DISCLAIMER: I don't use windows, and have no experience with AWB)... Here it is, User:Kingbotk/Plugin. HTH SQLQuery me! 02:29, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
For some reason it keep freezing each time I try to load the plugins. Is there no way I can use your code? Thanks, - Milk's Favorite Cookie 01:31, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
If you learn PHP, I suppose :) However, I've never tested it on windows, and PHP has never been very predictable for me on windows... or fast :( SQLQuery me! 01:38, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
That would take about a year. :P I don't mind it going slow. Do you have step by step instructions? - Milk's Favorite Cookie 01:40, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Sadly, not really. That code's very fragile and hackish :( I should rewrite it someday. SQLQuery me! 01:41, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Oh :0 - How do you make it work on yours? - Milk's Favorite Cookie 01:42, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
I just edit what category I'm hitting, and, modify the tag regex... (In other words, I partially re-write it per task) SQLQuery me! 01:44, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Heck, never mind then. BTW, I asked Ral if I could have my bot deliver the signpost - I'm guessing he would agree based on what he said on the bot's userpage - Would I have to get that task approved as well? Or would that fall under "newsletter?" - Milk's Favorite Cookie 01:47, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

(U)It's my opinion that it'd fall under "newsletter" :) SQLQuery me! 01:50, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Good :) - So then when/if someone blocks it for doing a non-approved task, I can blame it on you :P - Milk's Favorite Cookie 01:50, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
I saw this - I'm guessing you like LP? What's you're favorite song (I doubt it's In Between, although that was playing in that shot) - Milk's Favorite Cookie 01:57, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Bot Malfunctioned

The SQLBOT malfunctioned and removed the entire pages for Indian Christianity Artciles - See http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:WikiProject_Indian_Christianity/Articles&curid=15733142&diff=199519246&oldid=199266683

Hmm, it does seem to be messing up, looks like there's a problem with the API again. SQLQuery me! 06:21, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Fixed it, someone made changes to the MediaWiki API, which made my programs not work anymore, without announcing it like they're supposed to [3]. Thanks! :) SQLQuery me! 06:31, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. - Tinucherian (talk) 07:10, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

The lesson here, is that tasks that mess much with content pages, should really be approved... SQLQuery me! 03:29, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Hmm

I've given thought to your proposal for half the day. =) Mainly my concerns are that unlike most admins I wouldn't be on here on a daily basis all the time. Usually I could be, but with real life taking precedence and also college, there might be times where (possibly) my time on here would narrow down to maybe 2-3 times a week. If you don't think that'd be alarmingly absent however, then I'll accept your proposal. :) -WarthogDemon 19:25, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

And just to add, whether or not you decide to nominate me, thanks for dropping me a line. :) -WarthogDemon 02:11, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
Heh, no problem :) I got distracted for a bit... I don't think being on daily or not is a major concern... Most of us aren't here every day (some of us even disappear for days at a time :) I'm definitely gonna nominate you, as soon as I get a few moments to write it up :) SQLQuery me! 02:14, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
You may post it on the RFA page now. I thank you again. :) -WarthogDemon 05:28, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks

See my reply on the Bot request page, but basically sorry if I sounded harsh, I was just annoyed on and off-wiki and I got annoyed that the request hadnt even been mentioned yet. I struck the relevant comments. Thanks for doing it (it appears that is what you are doing?) Friendly edit counter

From the BCB edit count discussion I ran into http://hemlock.ts.wikimedia.org/~sql/sqlbot.php THATS AN AWESOME TOOL! Can I add it to Wikipedia:WikiProject edit counters or are there server load issues with such a user friendly tool? MBisanz talk 23:10, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Sure, go ahead :) There aren't really performance issues (it uses the same basic method as kate's tool)... If you wanna see something cool, run it on a Crat and an Admin :P SQLQuery me! 01:11, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
Thats what made it so cool. It would def be useful at RfBs and admin RfCs. And its so professional looking! MBisanz talk 03:29, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
Heh, I hate to take credit for what's not mine :) I got the design from open source web design :) (BTW, I actually do run similar checks against RfA / B participants, as a part of User:SQL/RfX Report... I think it puts them in User:SQL/RfX Report/Potential problems :) Glad you like it! SQLQuery me! 03:36, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Can I Hire the Bot? ;)

Hi! I understand from here that SQLBot does WikiProject tagging? I'd love it if the bot could add {{WikiProject Museums}}, the Museums WikiProject template to all articles in Category:Museums? I'm not sure if there's anything else I need to do on my end, please let me know. Am happy to pay the bot in cookies, or whatever bots eat ;) TRAVELLINGCARIMy storyTell me yours 18:57, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

ETA, Category:Museum stubs? I've realized Category:Museums isn't a viable category since it has a million sub cats, so I don't think that will work TRAVELLINGCARIMy storyTell me yours 19:57, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Sure, I can do it. I just got in, and, I'll likely have to go to work in a moment, but, I should be able to get it done today/tonight at some point :) SQLQuery me! 20:03, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks so much, no rush whatsoever. I'm still learning the project thing and I've been doing it all by hand so I'm used to it. I figure this will me get a central to do list so I can figure out where to start :) TRAVELLINGCARIMy storyTell me yours 20:08, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
No problem :) It's running a test run now, and, if that comes out good, it should start tagging right after :) Thanks! SQLQuery me! 20:10, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks! If I need to do anything, please let me know. TRAVELLINGCARIMy storyTell me yours 20:19, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Alright, the bot's running, 780 articles to tag :) SQLQuery me! 20:26, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks so much! *bows down to bot* TRAVELLINGCARIMy storyTell me yours 20:38, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

I love seeing the results of the bots work, I currently have an idea of 1/100000th of the scope of the project and I'm happy. Thanks so much! TRAVELLINGCARIMy storyTell me yours 21:43, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Should be done now, if you have any more categories, let me know :) (Make sure the wikiproject is OK with any less relevant ones) SQLQuery me! 02:32, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, I definitely will. Question, is there any documentation somewhere about how to deal with projects whose scope is ginormous and deals with Categories with significant sub-cats? It doesn't appear possible to tag Category:Museums since it would be a)unmanageable and b)impossible since articles live in the sub-cats. Is it generally done to say, lob a sub-cat at a bot once a week/month/? or is there another process I'm overlooking. I'm happy with the growth of this project in a day. There'd been simmering interest and it took someone to do (start the project) rather than talk about it, so I'm glad I did. I know WP:OTHERSTUFF is a 'bad thing' but I think if there's space for pop culture, then we need to expand the museums and I'm having a ball doing so. Thanks again for your help TRAVELLINGCARIMy storyTell me yours 05:05, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi again, SQL! When/if you have some time, would you mind setting the bot on Category:History museums? I know it can't do anything about the subcats, but I think it can handle the articles in the main category? If not, or if you're busy, no worries. Thanks again TRAVELLINGCARIMy storyTell me yours 03:13, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Y Done, sorrty it took a couple days to get back to you :) SQLQuery me! 05:15, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
No worries. While I like to dream that the Museums project is the center of everyone's universe ;) I know that there are a bazillion requests for your bot. Thanks so much for helping the project out. I'm sure I'll be back in the future when we get caught up with assessment and your bot is bored :) In the mean time, thank you!

User:SQL/RfX Report

There seems to be a problem with User:SQL/RfX Report - the report is currently empty. PhilKnight (talk) 19:34, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Yep, it got some data from the API that it didn't like, it seems. I'm debating on discontinuing it in the near future, we'll see... SQLQuery me! 05:16, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

Hmm Again

Although it seems I stand a chance of being nominated, I am beginning to have reservations, particularly after the IP question given to me. I think it'd be best if I were to withdraw and come try again in a few months (perhaps three as DGG has suggested). -WarthogDemon 23:15, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

But perhaps I'll wait and see how it further goes. So nevermind the wondering about withdrawing for now... sorry for that. :) -WarthogDemon 00:47, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
Heh, no problem :) You're still doing ok (I passed with some 14 opposes I think), if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask :) SQLQuery me! 05:14, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
By the way, regarding the IP thing, here's what they mean: 243fcpx.png. It's really, really not that big of a deal. Personally, when it's come up for me, I've declined to take action on those IP addresses, and deferred to a more experienced administrator. Usually what I see happening (the Quatar one happened once while I was around), is very short-term blocks, (i.e. hour or 2). It's a relatively obscure thing, that comes up very very rarely, but it's something I look for anytime I block an IP (usually, sensitive IP addresses will also have something on the user or user talk page as well (which at least, I almost always check before blocking), so it's nothing to really get too worked up about. I didn't even learn about it, until the first time I got into Special:Blockip. (I just read what was going on in the RfA...) Don't let all the opposes get to you too much, some folks just have incredibly high standards, and there isn't much you can do about that. SQLQuery me! 05:29, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

Sandbot implementation

Hi, I am in the process of re-writing Sandbot over the course of this month, and I would like your input on its implementation & design. I have drafted some notes on it at User:AllyUnion/Sandbot. Much appreciated! --AllyUnion (talk) 23:16, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

FYI

Image:SQLDesk.png is a cool image, but it shows the Wiki-globe, which is copyrighted. And I know there is a debate somewhere about deleting all screenshots showing it that are fairuse overuse. Since userspace is always fairuse overuse, maybe you can drop like a white bot over the globe to keep the image? Or a snarky message like "Globe removed by wiki-police"? MBisanz talk 08:12, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Oy! I didn't even think of that, I'll fix it up pronto, thanks for the heads up! :) SQLQuery me! 08:13, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
Fixed Thanks again! SQLQuery me! 08:20, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
BTW, should I (or, alternatively, could you?) delete the versions that show the globe? SQLQuery me! 08:22, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
Done. Anytime. MBisanz talk 08:25, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
I'll take that as a yes :) Thanks! SQLQuery me! 08:28, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Vandalism

Hi, SQL. Just doin' me job. And without a checkuser and an IP, how would a blacklisting help? -- Avi (talk) 15:48, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Heh, I thought it may have been an image or something... I just looked at it, and yeah, it's not. I'll see what I can put together on toolserver tho. Probably wasn't a good idea to do that to me :) Now I'm not gonna stop till I'm sure I can prevent this stuff :P SQLQuery me! 15:52, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
Beware the wrath of the Structured Query Language. Look upon my Regular Expressions, ye mighty, and despair! (With apologies to Ozymandias 2.0 ) -- Avi (talk) 15:54, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
LOL. You crack me up :) 2 more months till we get to see you at RfB again, right? (SQLBot's getting bored with no one over there!) SQLQuery me! 15:55, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
Maybe you can get the cabal in action and nominate me earlier, like yesterday. -- Avi (talk) 16:27, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
I'd nominate you myself, if I didn't know you'd get a flood of frivolous too soon comments. :) SQLQuery me! 08:29, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
BTW, thought you'd be interested to know your progress :) (You got opposed for not enough voting, no?)

I'll have a web-based tool up soon :P SQLQuery me! 01:21, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

AIV

Hi, I saw my request for blocking an IP was declined; what's the best course of action to deal with this problem? It's hard to mediate a dispute since the editor has not responded to my messages on his talk page; he did write "Wesley Sanders is an idiot" on the article itself after my first message, so I don't think two party mediation will work well for this issue. Suggestions? I'm fairly new to wikipedia editing, so I apologize if this is a bit of a stupid question. Wsanders (talk) 09:13, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

AIV is only for cases of obvious simple vandalism, that need immediate attention, sorry. I would strongly suggest you try dispute resolution. It appears to me like what's going on now is more of a content dispute... SQLQuery me! 03:00, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Article Tracking Request

Hi SQL! We were wondering if we could set up an automatic population of Wikipedia:WikiProject_Christianity/Articles exactly like the one you run for Wikipedia:WikiProject Indian Christianity/Articles, only for every article tagged with {{ChristianityWikiProject}}, although not those tagged with {{ChristianityWikiProject|indian-work-group=yes}} since they have their own tracking page. Please message me if can help with anything. Thanks! TrickyApron (talk) 15:31, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

I suggest ALL articles including the indian-work-group ones , as the main prjt should cover all articles irrespective of workgroups' interests. Hence the search key word should b {{ChristianityWikiProject}}, - Tinucherian (talk) 17:07, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Y Done, with all articles (I may separate out the Indian work group later, but, I just saw this with a few mins left to get my kids from school). I also put them on a different subpage (/Watchlist) and transcluded that onto your /Articles page, so the bot wouldn't revert /Articles every run. Anyhow, there you go! :) It'll run once a day. SQLQuery me! 19:41, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Is the bot screwing up? Its been listing the same pages which some have been deleted, and other aren't blank for a while now... - Milk's Favorite Cookie 19:18, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

New image project

With the non-free deadline approaching, I've decided to start addressing some of the less automatable image NFCC issues. I'm currently compiling a list of non-free images with corrupt licenses and another list of images with a non-free and a free tag. I should have it done by the end of the weekend. I was planning to post it to my userspace, but my concern is that I3, improper license accusations could result in it being a List of Images to Delete Onsight. Would you be interested in helping and do you have any idea where I could get a conensus against deleting based on an image being on my list? MBisanz talk 06:48, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Hey SQL, just wondered why SQLBot is still reporting an RFA as overdue which I removed the minute it elapsed? And that was three hours ago... All the best, The Rambling Man (talk) 17:33, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
