Shane Price, born 26 December 1986 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. One of the best-credentialed members of the Holden Young Lions group in recent years, second generation racer Shane Price was born with petrol in his blood, being the son of multiple Kart champion Drew Price and nephew to female racer Melinda Price. In 2006 Perkins Motorsport gave him his first foray into the Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series, after good performances in Formula Ford.
For 2007, Larry Perkins has given Price a major responsibility and the youngster will line up in the main series in the Jack Daniel's Racing VE Commodore. This was his first full season in the top V8 series in Australia. 2008 saw him retained by Larry Perkins team. In addition, Holden chose him as one of the drivers for the Bathurst 12 Hour in a Holden Commodore Sportswagon.
