[edit] labor day 2006
Labor Day in 2006 is on September 4th, but it's on a different date every year (first Monday in September). Do we ever include movable days in the date page? I guess not as it's not on September 4 at the moment, I'm just curious. Aaron McDaid (talk - contribs) 14:55, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Another somewhat-notable event...
Not sure what the criteria is for adding events, so I'll leave this here and let someone else add it if appropriate...
On September 4th, 1999, the Cincinnati Reds set two new records in a 22-3 creaming of the Philadelphia Phillies:
- NL/MLB record: most players with a home run in a single game (8)
- NL record: most home runs in a game (9)

I realize that sports records aren't really notable events for everyone, but neither record has been beaten in 8 1/2 years, and it's also fairly unusual for a team to score 22 runs in a game.
