Hello, I have been a Wikipedian since January 1, 2002 (UID 62). After getting totally hooked on the idea of Wikipedia I then became a member of the Wikipedia Volunteer Fire Department and later a Wikipedia Administrator (all this really means is that I am a hopeless Wikipediholic).
In December of 2001 I graduated with a bachelors degree in biology and a minor in geology but I'm interested in a great many things. From the time I graduated until late 2004 I was working for Caltrans on transit planning, specifically transit-oriented development. During that time I was going to night school part time learning all about Geographic Information Systems (GIS). For most of 2004 I worked for the City of Sacramento, California on a GIS-related contract. In December 2004 I moved to Atlanta, Georgia and am now working on another GIS contract.
Taking GIS courses has totally hooked me on geography and learning about it and my long-time favorite subject geology by going on field studies (see my images section). I plan to go back to university in Spring 2008 to start work on an MBA.
I sometimes give quick, seemingly unkind and terse comments on talk pages and in edit summaries. However meanness is not at all the intent, just efficiency. This is a quirk of my rare personality type: INTJ. I do try to moderate what I say and how I say it -- mainly because my terseness sometimes leads to inefficient discussion to resolve misunderstandings on talk pages.

I moved all the / pages for each and every Star Wars and Star Trek articles to non-/ed titles, fixed hundreds of active and edits links within these, reformatted and wikified many of these articles. All this work seems to have paid off -- contributions to these entries have noticably improved now that linking is far easier for these articles.
I'm helping to do the same thing for the country / pages and I helped motivate others to do the same for the Middle-earth and the The Simpsons articles.
