Thank heavens you made a page for the high school. I had no idea there was also a Danville in Indiana. Please make the changes to this page I suggested so that way people don't make mistakes again like the one I did in assuming you meant Virginia and not Indiana. [edit] Notability of Chasing Canadia
A tag has been placed on Chasing Canadia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Hi. I read your notice on the discussion page for the above band - whilst I appreciate your desire for the 'page to grow', unfortunately Wikipedia adopts the policy that the subjects must be notable BEFORE an entry is created, rather than creating an entry on a subject in the hope that they'll become notable. If the band is as good as you think, then once they have decent news coverage, published a few well-selling albums etc., then they should probably be included. Until then, I'm afraid they don't really meet Wikipedias criteria (in my opinion). CultureDrone (talk) 07:06, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
