[edit] Grassroots Opposition
During her time in the Assembly, Galef has been criticized many times for her voting on unfunded mandates, and state spending. Recently, a website called Sandy Galef’s Seven Billion Dollars was posted to show how “In the past 10 years, Sandy Galef has voted for over $10 billion in unfunded state mandates which has forced local governments to raise our property taxes.[1]”
