[edit] History

The seeds of Rubic's Rostrum, which has been functioning in Lucknow since 1998, were sown in Varanasi as early as in 1988 by Aditya Kumar. He completed B.Tech and M.Tech in material science with merit from IT-BHU. [1]

[edit] In the news

Rubic's Rostrum is a well established coaching institute in north India. Every year, more than two thousand students join Rubics to train for IIT-JEE with much success: Rubics claimed 198 selections in IIT-JEE 2007. [2] The Indian daily The Times of India has covered the success of Rubics students in 2007 college entrance examinations.[1]

In 2006, Rubics launched its "All India Simulators Test Series" online. It has since then underwent various changes and is now available under "Rubics eLearning System". They provide sample test papers for IIT-JEE, AIEEE, UPTU-SEE, BITSAT, and various other engineering and medical college entrance examinations.

Rubics announced All India Science Talent Search Examination (AISTSE) on October 8, 2007. It is a nationwide scholarship test for meritorious students in standards VIII through XII and also for those who have passed class XII board examinations. The scholarship form is available on their website to download and students can also apply online.[2]

There are two online forums for Rubics students. One is available on their own site and the second is available on the popular Orkut social network. There are 1,219 students registered at the Rubics community on Orkut (as of October 25, 2007).
