Ronaldsway

Ronaldsway (Manx: Roonysvie) is a region in the south of the Isle of Man, in the vicinity of the towns of Ballasalla and Castletown. It is notable as the location of Isle of Man Airport and historically RAF Ronaldsway.
Ronaldsway is the site of the Battle of Ronaldsway in 1275, which saw the Isle of Man transfer from Norse rule to Scottish rule.
Ronaldsway is one of the 12 coastal weather stations whose conditions are reported in the BBC Shipping Forecast.
A request stop for the Isle of Man Steam Railway sits behind Ronaldsway Industrial Estate on the Silverburn river.
