Princess Superstar (born Concetta Kirschner, 1971) is an American emcee.
Her musical style —a mixture of hip hop, rock and electronica— is flip-flop, as she describes it.

[edit] Background
She was born to an American Jewish father of Russian and Polish descent and a Sicilian-American mother who converted to Judaism. Kirschner identifies as Jewish but is not religious.[1][2] Her parents were psychologists, and they moved the family to the suburbs of Philadelphia, sending Kirschner to Germantown Academy. She was a member of the Singing Club, the Theatre Club and the Black Student Union.
[edit] Career
After graduating from high school, she moved to New York City and studied acting at New York University, learning to play the guitar and sending a demo tape to the College Music Journal and Grand Royal, a record label headed by the Beastie Boys. Her debut was called Strictly Platinum, and gained her some notoriety as one of very few white rappers, as well as for her openness regarding her Jewish heritage and gender-related issues.
Princess Superstar has collaborated with Kool Keith, Jon Spencer, Bahamadia, MC Paul Barman, the High and Mighty, The Prodigy, Moby, DJ Yoda, Disco D, Mason, and others. Some of the producers that worked with her include Prince Paul, Curtis Curtis, Beth Orton, Arthur Baker, Junior Sanchez, Todd Terry, and DJ Mighty Mi from the High and Mighty.
Stephen Merchant of The Office fame is generally acknowledged as the person who broke Princess Superstar in the UK,[1] with the lanky writer/producer playing the track "Things are gonna get better".
In August, 2007 as part of their "back to school" promotion, Payless ShoeSource used the song "I Like It A Lot" from the My Machine album as their campaign song.
She is currently working on a new "Top Secret" album, which she announced on her official website.
