Pennsylvania Route 42 is a 45 mile long state route located in central Pennsylvania. The southern terminus of the route is at Pennsylvania Route 61 in Centralia. The northern terminus is at U.S. Route 220 in Laporte.
Until 1999, Pennsylvania Route 54 was also present at the southern terminus of PA 42.
