Pennsylvania Route 41 is a major 22 mile long state highway located in southeastern Pennsylvania. The southern terminus of the route is at the Delaware state line in New Garden Township, where PA 41 continues as Delaware Route 41. The northern terminus is at U.S. Route 30 north of Gap.
PA 41 is the main artery between the Lancaster area and Wilmington, Delaware. The highway is named the Gap-Newport Pike. The original southern terminus of DE 41 was in Newport, hence the highway's name. Due to many accidents, PennDOT has done many improvements along the road, as well as posting many signs along the route reminding drivers to drive safely.
