North Maharashtra University is one of the most promising upcoming universities in India. The university which was earlier part of the University of Pune got separation and was established on 15th August 1989. The university has very beautiful campus spread over an area of 404 acres. Massive plantation has been undertaken to enrich the natural beauty of the university campus. Six Post-Graduate schools viz. Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Comparative Languages with departments viz. Chemical Technology, Management Studies, Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Library and Information Science are located on the university campus. The faculty members of the schools and the departments are experienced and have come from reputed Institutes and Industries. At present the strength the teaching faculty is 62.
