Nishikamo District, Aichi

Nishikamo (西加茂郡; -gun) is a district located in Nishimikawa Region in Aichi, Japan. The district once covers the northern and western parts of the city of Toyota and the town of Miyoshi. Due to the mergers held in 2005, all but the town of Miyoshi merged into the city of Toyota.

• March 1, 1951 - The town of Koromo gained city status.
• April 1, 1953 - The village of Sanage gained town status.
• March 1, 1955 - The villages of Homi, Ishino, and parts of Fujioka merged into the town of Sanage.
• September 30, 1956 - The village of Takahashi merged into the city of Koromo.
• April 1, 1958 - The village of Miyoshi gained town status.
• April 1, 1967 - The town of Sanage merged into the city of Toyota.
• April 1, 1978 - The village of Fujioka gained town status.
• August 5, 2003 - The town of Miyoshi dropped out from the Toyota-Kamo Merger Conference.
• April 1, 2005 - The town of Fujioka and village of Obara were both merged into the city of Toyota.
