[edit] self-contradicting
Can somebody look up a year of bith? there are 3 given in the article! Circeus 18:51, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- Actually only 2 were listed (1871/72), with a 3rd (1874) given in an external link. I couldn't figure out which was right. The Central Bank of the Russian Federation didn't even know for sure (listing 1871 or 1872).[1] Database Olympics lists his birthdate as 1/1/1874, but we can't be sure about their sources either. --Fang Aili talk 18:55, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- I don't think birth date uncertainty merits a {{contradict}} tag; there are many notable people who don't have verified birth dates or years. --Fang Aili talk 19:00, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] USSR in 1903
Err.. Is it me or is there something wrong with one of the statements in this article? It says that his student, Fyodor Datlin, was the first athlete to win a rating in the Unified Sports Classification System of the USSR, on December 31, 1903, while the USSR was formed in 1923, some 20 years afterwards. The USCS of the USSR was formed even later. //Halibutt 19:23, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
