Nick Emmett is a current rugby league player for the Redcliffe Dolphins in the Queensland Cup. He is also a member of the Brisbane Broncos top squad.
[edit] Career
Nick was handed his NRL debut in controversial circumstances in round 17 after the NRL and QRL only cleared him to play two days prior to kick-off following a suspension drama playing for feeder team Redcliffe. Emmett didn’t waste his only top grade chance with Wayne Bennett ranking him “up to NRL standard” after holding his own when a starter in the baby Broncos stunning win over Cronulla. Backed by strength more so than speed, the defensively strong Emmett also has what it takes to cross the try line after July’s stats revealed he had scored 19 tries in 35 matches for the Dolphins in the Queensland Cup. Before making his state league debut last season, Nick played as a Parramatta lower-grader for three years before being lured out of semi-retirement by Dolphins coach Anthony Griffin. He scored 1 try in the match against the Manly Sea Eagles.
