Nathan "Mick" Foley is an Australian rules football player. He plays as a midfielder for the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League.
Channel Seven commentator Dennis Cometti often refers to Foley as 'Mick' Foley, due to the fact that Cometti is an avid fan of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), with Mick Foley being a famous wrestler for the WWE.
Foley was drafted by Richmond using pick 3 in the 2003 AFL Rookie Draft, from the Geelong Falcons.
Foley had a debut to remember as the Tigers were thumped by Melbourne in a game which saw Tiger star Nathan Brown break his leg under the impact of Demon defender Matthew Whelan.
In 2007, Foley had a break-out season, establishing himself as one of the AFL's best on-ballers. He was selected in a squad of 40 for the All Australian team, but missed out when the official 22 man team was released on the September 17, 2007. He was runner-up in the Richmond Best and Fairest count, only one vote behind the winner.
In 2008, Foley was named as Richmonds deputy vice captain along with Chris Newman.
