Mount Royal Avenue
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Avenue du Mont-Royal is a street in Montreal. The main part of the street transects the borough of Le Plateau-Mont-Royal, from Parc Avenue at the foot of Mount Royal, for which the road is named, to rue Frontenac. Another section in Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie runs from rue Molson to boul. Pie-IX. West of Av. du Parc, the road continues into Outremont (where it becomes Boulevard du Mont-Royal), skirting the northern rim of the mountain until Av. Vincent d'Indy.
The western section of the avenue is the principal artery of the Plateau, forming the southern border of the Mile End neighbourhood.
The Mont-Royal metro station is located at the corner of Mont-Royal and rue Rivard, at Place Gérald-Godin.
