Monastero Bormida is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Asti in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 70 km southeast of Turin and about 30 km southeast of Asti. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 978 and an area of 14.1 km².[1]
Monastero Bormida borders the following municipalities: Bistagno, Bubbio, Cassinasco, Denice, Loazzolo, Ponti, Roccaverano, and Sessame.
