Honourable Chief Justice Muhammad Haleem, LL.D. (HC), HI, (January 1, 1925 Lucknow - August 11, 2006 Karachi) served as the Chief Justice of Pakistan from the period 1981 to 1989, the longest service of its kind in the history of the country. He was endorsed by successive regimes and has been celebrated as one of the foremost judicial authorities of South Asia. He was the son of late Mr Muhammad Wasim, the first Advocate General of Pakistan.
