Matthew Wolfenden (actor)

Matthew Wolfenden (born 1980) from Norwood Green, Halifax, West Yorkshire is an English actor.
He attended Brighouse High School.
He is a former gymnast. He was a member of the British gymnastics squad until he fell whilst practising on the rings and damaged his back. This prevented him continuing his gymnastics and he turned to acting.
He recently made his debut in ITV's Emmerdale playing David Metcalfe, the secret son of Eric Pollard. He originally auditioned for the role of Eli Dingle but lost out to Joseph Gilgun, but he was called back for the role of David Metcalfe.
Matthew has also appeared in Hollyoaks: Let Loose, the spin-off to Hollyoaks.
In early 2007, Matthew finished 9th on the second series of Soapstar Superstar.
