Massiel Indira Taveras Henríquez is Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2007. She was the successor of Mía Taveras López, her cousin. She graduated from Santiago University and became a lawyer and a designer.
Taveras Henríquez, who gained the crown in March as the most beautiful woman of the Dominican Republic, said that the encounter took place with the endorsement of Magali Febles, president of the contest and other members of the organization.[clarify]
Massiel is daughter of Damían Taveras and Carmen Henríquez de Taveras. She has six brothers, among them, the conductor of television and ex- queen of beauty Rita Isaura Taveras.

1st Runner Up : Marianne Cruz (Salcedo)
2nd Runner Up : Yanna Montás (La Altagracia)
3rd Runner Up : Sheila Ynoa (Duarte)
4th Runner Up : Yesenia Aybar (Juan Sanchez Ramirez)
Massiel Indira Taveras Henríquez competed in Mexico City in May 28th at the Miss Universe 2007 pageant. After being among of the favorites Taveras did not place.
In October 26 Taveras was crowned Latin American Queen 2007 during an event held in Santa Cruz, Bolivia ; she also won the most beautiful face award and best figure award.
